Nope, I did download it though.. I'll probably get to it tonight though. Younha has been making awesome music and I am definitely getting her debut album. "Houki Boushi" is still one of the best releases of this year in my opinion.

I'd have to agree, Houki Boshi has the highest play-count on my list of Japanese songs released this year.

It is really beyond addicting... along with Ayu's "STEP you". I am really satisfied with this years releases so far and Younha is definitely one of the best debut artist this year. Along with YUI and K. I am glad to see there are a lot of GOOD Korean artist coming into Japan and not trying to redo BoA-esque music. I'm not hating on BoA but her music has become overdone.

Thread revival ! =)

Ok everyone, I just got a mod to move this thread from the Asian Chat section to the Artist and Band section (this sub-forum)! Woot!

Also, I asked a mod to change the thread title from "Yunna" to what the thread title is right now currently. :)

I was going to start my own Younha thread, but there is no need to now since we will just use this thread to discuss about her and her music.

Anyways, looks like Younha has some new music release lately, so maybe I will post about it later on, or if someone wants to post about it, go ahead, lol.

release date: April 16

and according to her staff blog, she's also recording a new japanese song :D

rookies 8th April 2009 04:32 AM

Thanks for the info, Lisa.

I first found out about her from the song she did for Bleach - I'll just call the song HB, cus I dunno the correct spelling of the name, and I'll use the initials instead, lol.

I also like "My Lover", and also "Touch". I think Touch had an anime tie-in too, or maybe not, lol.

Haven't really listened to her music since her album "Go Younha", so anyways, I am looking forward to that new song that she is recording.

I like her JPNese songs more than her Korean songs though, lol.

Beauty4123 8th April 2009 04:34 AM

yea, i only like and listen to her jpop songs. i'm not really a fan of kpop :no

and the song's called "Houki Boshi" as far as i know, haha. that was my 1st song, too. i hope she releases a new single in japan, soon.

rookies 8th April 2009 09:52 AM

I used to listen to some kpop, but not often anymore nowadays.

Oh yeah, Houki Boshi, that's the song title. I love the piano playing she does in the song and PV. It's really good IMO.

So I read her wikipedia page today to catch up on what she had been doing Post-Go Younha in terms of japanese releases, and looks like she released a BEST album as her 2nd japanese album release. It flopped though, unfortunately. :/

omg new album!!! I hope its as good as Someday!!!!

Mirai Noah 8th April 2009 05:46 PM

I love Younha! But I'm wondering if she gave up on Japan and is only focusing on Korea.

Yoake 8th April 2009 06:23 PM

I didn't know there is a Younha thread. I like her music.

Yeah for the new album! The second promo pic is really pretty

That is possible, considering she was more successful in Korea than she was in Japan.

elepop 9th April 2009 12:20 AM

Gosh, I love Younha. Her voice is so wonderful! I only listen to her Korean songs though. I don't know, she sounds better in Korean. Kinda like BoA. She sounds better in her mother language too. And also, a lot of her Japanese songs are covers of her Korean songs. Might as well listen to the Korean songs instead.

Anyway, I hope the new album is as good as "Vol.3 - Someday". :heart

I hope there's a Tablo collab! :P

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 10th April 2009 03:00 AM

Seems like centuries have passed since I last heard anything of her.
Can't help but be doubtful about her coming back to japan. She said something like that awhile ago with "Sratch On The Heart" but nothing came out of it really. Wouldn't be surprsed if her Sony contract is already up.

Beauty4123 10th April 2009 03:07 AM

she already switched labels, lol. she's on this not so known record company called SISTUS records :P such a shame, really.

rookies 10th April 2009 03:10 AM

SISTUS records?!

Sounds like Sisters or Sistahs, lol! haha.

I agree. :yes And another collab with Tablo would be fabulous.
Gieok was such an awesome song.

Yum!Fruit_Salad! 10th April 2009 11:49 PM

SISTUS sounds like a disesae lol.

Beauty4123 11th April 2009 12:19 AM

new MV preview:

rookies 11th April 2009 12:23 AM

What happened to her hair? o_O

She looks like those poor Cinderella girls, who stay at home, and cleaning the house all day, LOL. Minus the evil step-mother though, lol.

I miss her cute look. This new look isn't that good IMO. T_T
