Annabelle 9th January 2006 04:01 PM

The CD+DVD edition is too pricey. I'll wait for OS ver :P

micster 9th January 2006 04:03 PM

are your conversions working? It seems exacly like My Story overseas

CD is £10
CD+DVD is £17

soo

Raleigh 9th January 2006 04:05 PM

Hmm.. I see. Well there should be an OS Version coming out soon anyhow.

Annabelle 9th January 2006 04:05 PM

CD only is 25.60$ CDN and CD+DVD is 34.96$ CDN. It's not that cheap to me.

MY STORY Korean Version: http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept...section-music/

12'99$ MY STORY Korean Version Vs. 19.99$ of (miss)understood Korean version...

And almost 30$ for CD+DVD... that's NOT cheap. I've paid 22$ (s&h included!) for my OS (miss)understood CD+DVD on eBay... And it was shipped on 6th January, while this is a pre-order until 19th... ;)

micster 9th January 2006 04:29 PM

^And i care why? Tis my money =P

Qt Mashi 9th January 2006 04:31 PM

wat's difference between overseas ver and korean ver?

micster 9th January 2006 04:41 PM

overseas is from china/hong kong
korean is from korea

i guess

but then whats the difference between overseas and hongkong version o.o

fantaisie.sign 9th January 2006 05:39 PM

I'm wondering why the Korean version is so expensive all of a sudden. Usually Korean versions of regular CDs are $12-$14 (USD), not $27 (USD). Either Avex suddenly rose the price or YesAsia is ripping people off.

I'm still waiting for the Overseas version.

Brittany 9th January 2006 06:37 PM

^I think YesAsia wants more money.
The Korean ver. isn't worthy of my money. I'll be waiting for the OS version.

_Zora_ 9th January 2006 07:24 PM

eh?

From wiki-
Quote:

SM Entertainment is the main producer of Korean pop music, and is the management agency of several Korean pop stars. The company is named after its CEO, Soo-Mahn Lee
official site with ayu advert- http://www.smtown.com/
http://www.smtown.com/main_images/hamasaki_banner.gif

and record company profile-
Quote:

S.M. Entertainment Co., Ltd. is a independent South Korean record label founded in 1995. They primarily release local dance/pop artists, but also license foreign releases for the Asian market.
From a BoA forum, another Avex artist-
Quote:

SM Entertainment is the Korean music company that produces BoA's stuff.
Avex Trax is the Japanese music company that produces BoA's stuff.

Both are official.
Get your facts right first :rolleyes

_Zora_ 9th January 2006 08:32 PM

ahh interesting. i thought SM referred to Son May, they also use the SM logo.

micster 9th January 2006 08:36 PM

yah, which is why you should always be careful when buying, and do research

orangeland 9th January 2006 08:56 PM

yesasia is slightly ripping you off. check out annyoung.com:

CD+Photobook Ver.
CD+Photobook+DVD Ver.

also notice that they call the album "Misunderstanding". pfft x]
and annyoung is releasing it 3 days ahead of yesasia (1/16 instead of 1/19)

remember that japanese music is always going to be slightly expensive, regardless of where it's released (as opposed to other genres of music released in the same country).

and the CD only ver. might be a little more expensive this time b/c of its photobook inclusion.

tl1029530921 9th January 2006 09:19 PM

my friend uses annyeong sometimes..she says its reliable :].

orangeland 9th January 2006 09:35 PM

^ tl1029530921's friend is probably right. that store has been around for QUITE A WHILE...so i would assume so. :D

btw, just to give you guys an idea of how much YESASIA (not avex) is ripping you off:

from shopping @ bugs.co.kr

CD+DVD+Photobook // 20,800 won (~$21.18 USD)
CD+Photobook // 16,300 won(~$16.60 USD)

so yeah, around $9 USD for the CD+DVD and $3 USD for the CD

plus, korea is offering gifts (bromides?).

CD+DVD+Photobook+Gift // 22,300 won (~$22.71 USD)
CD+Photobook+Gift // 17,800 won (~$18.12 USD)

so even w/ the gifts, they're STILL cheaper than yesasia's editions w/o gifts. T__T.
credits to XE.com for currency conversions.
---------------
also, to clear things up from ^ there, SM TOWN functions as both a record label & distributing company. it's like Avex Asia - i'm not sure if Avex Asia is a record label in itself, but it distributes for other companies besides avex, including Toy's Factory.

evolution105 9th January 2006 09:43 PM

lucky for you guys! if only i had known...
