Yes I've heard of it before! I feel so great for her! In fact she won just a little. Anyway she was No.1 haha.
|
WAAAAAAAAAA great news. Although her fan base in Japan is shrinking, she has gained more overseas fans. Oh yar, she is currently fifth on CD-Rama's chart in Singapore! Recently released japanese CDs such as Mika Nakashima's BEST and Ai Otsuka's LOVE COOK failed to make it to the chart. Yet Ayu made it without advertisement, showing her popularity overseas!!!!!!!

^ awesome!!
thanks for the translation i will be going to Taiwana next year~~ |
if ayu really come
this time i wanna know who gonna get to see her...i wanna know if jolin change her style soon or not....hahahahhaaha |
Perhaps she could accomplish what BoA dreams to do in the future, become a pan-asian queen of music. ;) I think she'd have to do at least some more promotion overseas though.
|
^I think she used to be one at her heyday :)
|
yeah she have had that position at 2002
remember when she sings M at MTV asian awards and thats looks so COOL!!! |
yah. ayu is still popular in many other asian countries, probably especially taiwan cos they love japanese things.
|
She never did anything particular to become popular in other countries (except for that trip to taiwn or wherever it was :headache ) though. Her being famous in other countries is first of all because of Avex and because of the general popularity of japanese music, not her own effort. Perhaps if she continue to decline in the japanese industry, she could move to China :P It's a potentially growing market at least. :innocent The problem about the japanese scene seems to be that it's so fast so if an artist is on a break for some time from public activities, he or she is "gone". :(

Great news! ^^ Thanks for the info & translation.
|

SERIOUSLY? XD
I'm glad to hear that it's a best selling album in Taiwan! I think what Ayu means is that she wants to hold a concert in Taiwan? That's great to hear, since a lot of J-Artists are holding concerts outside of Japan. |
Thanks for the news and the translation.
And it's not that easy to have a #1 album in Taiwan for a japanese artist, the article only mention w-inds, Utada Hikaru and Ayu doing that. |
Thank you,very cool,Go Ayumi.
|
actually, ayu is the most popular Japanese singer in Taiwan
the sales of her album is the top |
Go Ayu!
|
wow, Taiwan loves Ayu that much??
Go Ayu!! #1 alot of places :yes |
