^ LMAO!!!!!! I noe eh?

ayu_fan929 6th July 2006 12:18 AM

Well the bright side is she got mentioned in a Finnish magazine. And yeah, she's more like Asia/Japan's Madonna and not Britney. And also, forgot who mentioned it but Hikki's pic there is really good!

So very true :).

marionette 6th July 2006 01:20 AM

Yeah, I read that too and almost died. :DD

Ahaha, bulls**t! "Ayumi is like Britney Spears" >___<
I was about to send a very angry e-mail, but well... it's only Demi. Demi is ridiculous anyway.

"Rorita style!" WTF? You don't write it like that! It's lolita, not rorita!

(sorry, I'm tired and maybe a bit drunk...)

Startin92 6th July 2006 01:25 AM

^So you live in Finland too? Yeah I sent an angry e-mail to them xD I hope they learn not to do that again. I think the 'rorita' was because that's how Japanese say 'lolita'. And yes, Demi is ridiculous anyway. And the girl in the magazine in that lolita style was just awful looking. I'll scan the rest of the japan article and add them to the first post.

Yeah, they explained why they wrote 'rorita'. But still, nobody is suppose to _write_ it like that. :D Ahh... well at least this wasn't as bad as Suosikki's article about j-rock.

And you're right, that girl looked awful. :D Haha, I had fun reading that article, but at the same time I was a bit angry...

Ja jep, Suomesta minäkin olen. Kiva huomata, että täällä on muitakin suomalaisia Ayu-faneja. :)

Startin92 6th July 2006 01:36 AM

^Jeps suomesta ollaan :D Ja Ayua rakastetaan :)

Now there are the rest of the Japan article. Oh god how I hate when they always put a "little japanese dictionary" to every ****in article about Japan. Gosh how i hate Finland, I just want to get out of here as fastas possible.

Sorry for my rude-language (at least I censored it), but I'm really angry again. I wish that none of the Finnish magazines would never write about Japan, since they always lie and suck...

I agree. Why can't they do some _real_ work and actually study about their subject. They know nothing about japanese pop culture and still they write about it... .___.

[offtopic] Finland is boring and I also want to go somewhere else, but I have to brag and say that in here everything is OK. Our system works. But this is all offtopic, sorry about that. :D [/offtopic]]

btw, is it you BeautifulFighters?

well.. maybe they got in wrong way to compare ayu with britney..

they might just wanted to say that ayu's so popular outside of Japan too..
that's good, isn't it?

I don't hate Britney. Never have. In fact I like some of her songs. Most of us liked her when she debuted. She was young, naive and innocent.

If they want to say that Ayu is as popular as Britney then they should say so. Not that Ayu is Japan's Britney. They won't compare her to Madonna because then people would think Ayu is "some old lady".

By the way, I'm from your neighbour country, Estonia :P

Whoa, calm down, calm down! 0.0 Finland is one of the best countries in Europe if not the whole world. The level of violence and crimes is the lowest, if I'm not wrong... don't bash your country like that, becouse there are worse places (like my country), and you can change a lot in yours, especially if the way they treat j-pop and japanese popculture is your biggest concern (write to them or prepare your own info on the subject, in Finnish Wikipedia, for example).

Back to the subject, Ayumi shouldn't be compared to Britney, becouse Britney's been a manufactured product since day one and only lately she maybe gained 'creative control' over her image, which ironically led to a major downtime in her career, end of which we don't see yet...

From a teenage girl in a settled, wealthy family she ventured to become a young woman, torn apart and lost in showbusiness. It's exactly the opposite way that Ayumi went.

Japanese, or rather Asian Britney Spears would be BoA, IMO. Although even she doesn't deserve the title of 'Britney Spears' which today isn't always seen as a positive comparison... Ayumi is surely the Madonna of Japan.

Hmm if you mean from FFfin forums/Serebii Forums/HONEY FLASH then yes it is me xDD

Surely Ayu deserves the title of "Madonna of Japan", since it is better and not so insulting. Madonna is one of my favs so no harm :D Demi-magazine hasn't replyd my e-mail yet, I just hope that they don't publish it in the next issue :grumpy I surely hope not :headache

[offtopic] Finland is a good place to live, but I'm sure that Japan or South Korea is better. We sure have low violence and crimes but bulling at school is high rated (at least towards me -__-)... I wonder how I can survive through the rest of school [/offtopic]

Interesting article, I found another article about Ayumi and J-Pop,in Finnish Anime magazine.

http://www.megaupload.com/fi/?d=1UALXYPD

*PDF- File, 154Kb.

Startin92 6th July 2006 05:17 PM

^Ayumi is often mentioned on the Finnish Anime magazine, but only in the charts section. I saw fairyland and STEP you meantioned in some issues. Thanks for the PDF.

And guess what. That Anime-magazine's article says too that "Ayumi Hamasaki is Japan's Britney". I guess all Finnish magazines are jerks..
