I'm thinking of singing..but not sure yet ^^;; I'm going to ask my friend first and see what he thinks...he might come and audition with me, too :P

I guess SM might be looking for North American Asians? :shrug That's what it seems like...

I'd like to go into singing as well, but I'm too scared. I think I'll just go in the written section ;)

although I'm asking my cousin (soy you saw a picture of her already - hope you remember) to go into singing since she has an AMAZING voice and my other cousin to go audition for modelling

I'm participating as well~ Sent in application!

I'll add some tips everyday for you guys cause I know people who have friends that are trainees already. So if you guys have any questions, just ask and I'll try my best to answer them.

Tips of the day:
Do NOT sing an SMTOWN song. The judges probably hear the songs all the time and know how it's supposed to sound. Another thing I heard is that if they are tired or in a bad mood and you start to sing an SM song, they will just say "next" when you first start.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE DOING: EVERYONE has to do the rhythm test. So everyone has to dance for 30 secs (even if you are singing). If you feel uncomfortable dancing, then just tap your foot or clap your hands, but if you want a better chance of getting in, dance.

NO MAKE-UP. Yes you heard me. NO MAKE-UP. SMTOWN wants people with innocent faces. Lip gloss is fine, but no eyeliner or anything.

Clothes: Try not to wear anything too fancy. Wear something that you would wear for school. So something that's clean and comfortable, but nothing to extreme (like for a ball or what you wear at home).

Be warned: If you mess up, the judges might laugh at you.

Oh and I hope to see you @ Toronto, realize_.

Well i heard they did that a few times when some people forgot their lyrics. (I think when they did the auditions in Malaysia)

To participants:
Don't imagine that you will get in easily even if you are talented. There's thousands of people auditioning.

Auditioning:
-First you will be put into a group of 10 people and will be numbered
-Then you will go into a room where the judges will be
-I think singers and actors go first
-You will be looking at the camera and doing what your supposed to do for 30 secs. However if they like you, they might extend that time or ask you to sing another song
-I think dancers go after
-Dancers leave and rhythm test starts
-30 secs of dancing or whatever

A suggestion when singing to the camera:
Do NOT use hand gestures because the judges get annoyed by it.

I think if your composing music (maybe written, I'm unsure), then you bring in a demo or something to show them.

For modeling. You will have 10 seconds to do 3 poses. I'm guessing that they want tall people the most, but I'm not quite sure.

so for example I wrote lyrics to the melody of STEP you, I just bring in the lyrics and show them????????????? so confusing o_o
