Kylie is back in the studio recording after a long recovery from breast cancer treatment. She has so far recorded tracks with the Scissor Sisters, Biffco and is also recording new tracks with Johnny Douglas on the weekend of July 1st - July 2nd 2006.

Everything I Know by Kylie Minogue, BabyDaddy & Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters fame was originally demoed in 2004 for the Ultimate Kylie sessions but was not used. The track however leaked online in November 2004. Since then it has become a strong favourite with fans with its shortened title of I Know. Kylie has now re-recorded the track and the song has returned to its original title of Everything I Know. Kylie has also recorded other new tracks with the Scissor Sisters, who previously wrote Kylie's huge hit I Believe In You and the unreleased track Ooh (The Blues) which was a reworking of their demo Dancin' Shoes and included Kylie's guest vocal.

Johnny Douglas will be writing new tracks with Kylie on the first weekend of July 2006.

Flirtatious by Kylie Minogue & Johnny Douglas, a track that was turned down by Parlophone A & R and seems unlikely to find a release.

White Diamond written and recorded with the Scissor Sisters in late April using their Universal Music studios in New York City. It appears that the band will be producing at least one or two more tracks for Kylie's new album. White Diamond has been used as the model on which the album will be based, but the record is in its very early stages. This may be featured as a download only single during Showgirl: The Homecoming without a video and limited promotion. It will, however, appear on the tour.
Exactly why I love wikipedia.

Cyria 19th October 2006 08:38 PM

Dreams is a lovely song.

I hope the new tracks end up being as awesome as I Believe in You. Could a spring '07 release be possible - a single, if not an album yet?

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 20th October 2006 07:51 AM

OMG!! They all sound so awesome.. I'm just AAHHHHH, cant wait till the new album. First single is supposed to be released soon after the tour I think.

I don't think Wiki is always right as just about anyone can edit it.. When you look at Kylie's discography page on there, the numbers keep on changing.

Mad_Cactuar 20th October 2006 09:04 AM

I know, but that's why I like it more. That way, any news can be transferred to us a lot faster. For now, I guess I'll believe that article. Seems like some tracks have been leaked. OMG WHY CANT I FIND ANY.

Kylie > Madonna :D

Kylie's 'Lucky' is the first song in english I remember liking lol. I still like her music , especially her oldest & newest work. I don't care for the "in-between" albums like 'Impossible princess' that much.

I own both Fever & Body Language. I'm not satisfied with my crappy european edition of Fever with only 12 tracks. I found the japanese limited edition of the album called 'Fever (Japan Hyper Edition)' online & dled it. it has 16 tracks + bonus disc with additional 2 new tracks + 8 remixes. I probably should order the import since I listen to this album so much :D
I love every track on 'Fever' , it's an amazing album. catchy lyrics & great electronic music.

I CAN'T WAIT TILL SATURDAY!! I'M SO GOING TO BUY THIS!
I just saw it in a magazine. I had no idea she was releasing a limited edition.

Mad_Cactuar 26th October 2006 03:39 PM

WHAT THE HELL. Anymore official information on it? I shouldn't have bought that CD 2 months ago. :weep Will "Some Kind Of Bliss" be on it?

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 26th October 2006 04:06 PM

Ouch bad news, some kind of bliss is not on it and it will only be released in Australia. I suppose there's always importing though.

Kylie exhibition heads for London

Quote:

Pop star Kylie Minogue will be the subject of an exhibition charting her rise to fame at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The free exhibition, which runs from 8 February to 10 June, will feature 200 of the singer's costumes, photographs and accessories.
Ah, pop history. People in London will get to see the hotpants she was (barely) wearing in the Spinning Around comeback video. :)

..:Hot:Like:Wow:.. 28th October 2006 07:09 AM

^ It's a great exhibition, I saw it in Brisbane, if anyone has the chance to go, then GO!.

Kylie to go African on Showgirl tour

It seems that Madonna is not the only singer who is currently having a love affair with Africa as Kylie Minogue is to add an African flair to the sparkles and feathers for her upcoming revamped Showgirl tour.

The pop star, who postponed shows after she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, is said to be giving her show an African theme.

The I Believe In You singer is relaunching the tour in her native Australia from November 11th.

"Kylie wanted to update the outfits and routines and decided an African theme would be really different," a source told the People newspaper.

The singer, who spent her time recovering in Australia and Paris with boyfriend Olivier Martinez, made her return to performing when she joined sister Dannii on stage at Astoria nightclub's G.A.Y. night.

Her Showgirl tour looks set to be one of the most popular and anticipated of the year; in London the first two UK dates sold out in six minutes.

"The demand for Kylie is absolutely phenomenal and these are the fastest selling shows I have ever experienced. It will be fantastic to see [her] back on stage again," said her live agent, Dave Chumbley.

Kylie will be releasing her next studio album next year.

Big names on Kylie’s comeback album

Kylie Minogue is making a comeback record and will reunite with the legendary producing team of Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman, Digital Spy reports.
The singer’s original partnership with Stock, Aitken and Waterman heralded several number one singles in the late 1980s, including “I Should Be So Lucky”, “Hand On Your Heart” and “Especially For You” with Jason Donovan.

Apart from that, Minogue has recently secured the services of Boy George and James Blunt collaborater, Amanda Ghost, for her new album as well.

The album will be the singer’s first since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005.

Kylie reunites with 80s hit-makers
Kylie Minogue has returned to her old song-writing team to ensure her much-anticipated pop comeback is a sure-fire hit. The diminutive Aussie beauty is currently working on her first album since she was diagnosed with breast cancer 18 months ago.

While many in the music industry believe Kylie's comeback will be a success, the singer is making sure her new album flies off the shelves by returning to the Stock, Aitken and Waterman team who are aiding her with her new tunes.

She is having tracks thrown at her left, right and centre by numerous record companies, and while she is accepting them and giving them consideration, she feels it is her old team who can provide her with the best music she has ever had.

A source close to Kylie, 38, said: "Those guys made her a hit 20 years ago so she has decided to return there because she knows they are good. The songwriting team behind the trio made her pop career when she was a teenager so she reckons they are just right for her comeback.

Indeed, I Should Be So Lucky - Kylie's debut single - is still an anthem now, along with Especially For You, the duet she performed with Jason Donovan.

Our source continued: "They have great form, the amount of number ones that specific song-writing team has churned out is amazing and Kylie wants to be part if that again.

However, music has thankfully moved on a little bit from the Eighties, so her sound is going to be slightly different.

Edgy

According to Eye's source, Kylie is going for a pop sound but with a bit more of an edge to it.

The source added: "Kylie will never move away from her pop roots but her new tunes will be edgy and a bit dirtier, she is kind of updating pop so that her songs are catchy but not cheesy.

The Melbourne-born singer, who now resides almost full-time in London, shot to fame in 1986 on BBC1 soap opera Neighbours. After leaving she won chart success with I Should Be So Lucky, which was quickly followed by cover The Locomotion.

However, her popularity began to wain in the early Nineties and she didn't return to the pop scene until 2000 with her anthem, Can't Get You Out Of My Head - which went straight to number one.

More hits followed, including a duet with Robbie Williams, but she was struck down with breast cancer in May 2005 and endured a year-long stint of chemotherapy

It's like Sharon Stone with a wide mouth. Seriously. :eek

Very classy and sophisticated though. Not bad.

truehappiness 30th October 2006 09:36 AM

She should've closed her mouth and done her eye a bit differently..

Mad_Cactuar 30th October 2006 11:05 AM

Her eyes are not balanced/perfectly symmetrical too. Kind of like Utada.

Cyria 30th October 2006 07:27 PM

That's an unfortunate cover. I don't know, there's something about it that's a little "off" - I would have thought that was some random model if I hadn't seen the pic in the Kylie thread. Maybe it's the eyebrows?

moombasista 31st October 2006 05:26 AM

This is my favorite album :)
