Maybe because it gives her the ability to lean back and half sit, while she's still standing upright, which makes it easier to sing, but is also kind to your feet. And I like the position it puts her in.

I noticed some tears. :( Ayu was getting emotional.

She is wearing the black one during the talk part, and a white one when singing.

Her other JEWEL performance was the opposite, white when talking and black when singing.
