I rarely care about her lyrics but End of the World is just too...I can't even describe it.

Alterna

If you are afraid of changes
Watch me at a distance
Whether or not I may do something
It makes no difference
Let it be

[Miss] Understood

I said to myself "I'm OK"
And showed my usual smile
I didn't feel in desperation
But in a kind of defiance

Seasons

The seasons are turning round and round
And we are now living
In the finite time
What will we find?

Conclusion??
I've been always waiting for someone, but I know that 'that someone' wouldn't be mine. Well at least I'm pretending to be strong because sometimes I felt that I was the only one who is different than my grade friends, sometimes feeling laughable and mocaked, and feeling dumped. But I stand.

I am...
I don't really like the song, as it stands, on the I am...album (the remixes are great, however).

No way to say

HANABI~episode II~

Together When...

srsly.. I can relate to a LOT of Ayu's songs. :(

Mostly "No way to say" and "HANABI~episode II~", though. The reason being... well... I've just been through a lot of personal blah-ness over the past five or six years and it's really eating up at me sometimes. I find myself trying to make sense of how I handled (or bungled) things back then and how the repercussions of it are still felt today. I feel like things haven't truly healed over, that I'm only faking at understanding and accepting the problem or the memory--it really gets to me at times.

So when I watched the English subbed PV of "No way to say" I honestly burst into tears. The beginning lines PERFECTLY described everything that I was feeling, everything that I've BEEN feeling and WILL feel later, until I can resolve this:

Quote:

The old wound left on me
Begins to ache
I hide my trembling heart again
And pretend to smile

Even in my age now, I'm the same as before
As timid as before
I only learn how to pretend to be strong
I'm no good with speaking--writing is my strongest suit and it always will be. When I try to express myself in words it just gets jumbled and knotted. I end up sounding foolish or just... stupid. Life would be so much easier for me if I could just write everything that I think instead of having to say it. So, naturally, the next few lines just made me cry even MORE:

Quote:

Though my heart is filled with feelings to convey
You see, I can't change them into words well
If I had not met you
I wouldn't even have such an embarrassing pain
The last two lines especially because of a rather personal issue with a particular person who I will neither forgive or forget for as long as I live. The jerk.

HANABI~episode II~ is a similar situation, only the 'crescendo' at the song's end is REALLY where it gets to me. I love the whole song, though:

Quote:

This feeling
This feeling
Go up into the sky

And be dispersed beautifully
Like a firework
Like a firework
I can't tell you how many times I've felt emotions just build and build and build up inside and feeling they were going to explode and me along with it. Screaming or crying doesn't help, it just gets bigger and it feels like I can't breathe. :(

I never checked.... I wonder...

A Song for XX
"Why am I crying?
Why am I confused?
Why have I stopped?
Tell me

When will I grow up?
How long is it OK to stay a child?
"

Probably more songs but this song totally and completely sums me up.

The Ayu-lyrics that defines me most are:

*Bold&Delicious
"So it's better to shout, don't be scared. Move me with all your might"
NOTE: This line reminds me that I should be confident with the things were becoming uneasy.

*(don't) Leave me alone
"Swear at me, instead. So that I can't even cry. Don't accept me if your hands are cold"
.
NOTE: I hate people pretending so nice at me and when I'm away, they backstabbing me.

*key ~eternal tie ver.~
" If I could line up lots of words and choose my feelings, I'd pick up a pen and write a letter".
NOTE: This is really me as a poet.

*winding road
"I can't live along well as before, I'm not so tactful. But one thing I can tell you is I keep on going this way with my head held high".
NOTE: No matter how many circumstances and even turbulent trials came, I will continuously go on.

*Replace
"I tell you and I'd like you to tell someone, You are not alone."
NOTE: I like this line because this is God speaking to you that wherever you are in a bad or good times, he's still at your side.

*LOVE ~Destiny~
"Just having met you, just having loved you, even if I can never see you again......... I won't forget."
NOTE: This line is really dedicated to my late grandparents on my mother's side. I love them so dearly even they're now gone.

anayufan 24th February 2008 12:51 AM

cool thread! this is one of the main reasons i like ayu because a lot of her songs i really can relate with. the cool thing about a song's lyrics is that the listener can take them and make their own meaning out of them... with ayu sometimes it's so scary that i can do that with a lot of her songs because it really gives that special feeling of her singing just to me. but i'm sure everyone else thinks that too =P

and ones for me that come to mind automatically are...
teddy bear
Memorial address
from your letter (not like the remix contest had anything to do with this hehe)

HAPPY ENDING
HOPE or PAIN
kiss 'o kill

(Boo, no happy songs. ;_; Maybe someday. xD)

Evanni 24th February 2008 01:27 AM

HAPPY ENDING
The lyrics to this song really fit me when I was feeling really out of place at one point in my life, and unable to find something to make me fit in with the people who I thought I'd always fit in with.
"I hope the morning will come for me soon, before I can't hide up my weakness."
"Well, I know better than anyone else that a happy ending never suits me."

No way to say
Wow, this song totally hit home for me. It conveyed perfectly the way I want to say something but have no idea how to go about doing it.
"Though my heart is filled with feelings to convey, you see I can't change them into words well.

JEWEL
The first time I heard this song, I cried. Then I read the lyrics, and I cried some more. This is such a lovely song about how someone can be precious to you. I think it might be my favorite Ayu ballad.
"Because you always show me that there remains a purity in a corner of this city."
"I'll be able to do anything for the smile. My precious treasure..."

Memorial Address
So sad...Probably the saddest song by Ayu. It explains how I feel when I'm unsure about someone else's feelings.
"Leaving an unfading scar on my heart, you became a star by yourself."
"I wish I could have heard from you, that I had certainly been loved by you. Only once, even if it had been a lie."

HANABI~episodeII
This song is just so nice, it gives me the shivers just by the feel of it. It's sort of something I wish to tell my friends. This is the part I love the most:
"I gently lock the memories away, leaving them to be beautiful."

Over
I parted with a lot of people in my life and this song expresses how I felt. It's so beautifully said, so I like it a lot.
"I parted from you waving my hand and saying "See you again"
"It was a treasure wasn't it? I wished to protect it more than anything else."

"If you are afraid of changes
Watch me at a distance"
-alterna

" We have our weak sides
We are not always smiling
Don't forget
That we don't exist to be convenient for you"
-my name's WOMEN

"Hey, that person thinks as if he knew everything about me
Just after we smiled and talked a little together
A big mistake"
-until that Day...

"If you pretend to be nice
Please do so in some other places"
-(don't) Leave me alone

I think there would be a lot of lyrics that can relate to many of us but the ones i can think of from the top off my head that relates to me are until that Day..., Marionette, (miss)understood, End of the World and I am...
geez those all sound depressing O____o
but yeah
ahh I wish they would create and release a little lyric book for ayu so I can carry around her lyrics and read them all day it'd be so nice =D and I tried making one but she has too many songs D=< which is good because my ears like it=D
^ I know I'm a bit random but they so should, its good for..ENCOURAGEMENT MUAHAHAHA
