Doesn't seem THAT bad. Just seems like she scratched her knee.

I think you're right. It probrably won't affect the concert, anyway.

Beauty4123 24th March 2007 08:50 PM

i hope her kneww feels better. it was probbably just a minor injury or something.

criminal 24th March 2007 09:33 PM

I meant to post something along the lines of "she's always hurting herself", but then I saw the bandages and that's not what Ayumi "wears" often. I hope she's fine and can have fun at the concert without being distracted by the injury.

JaysenRyan 24th March 2007 09:37 PM

Just a scratch? So why the heck is THAT thing all bandaged? Is that a new technique I've never heard of? You don't bandage "just a scratch" that way :no

Ayumiko 24th March 2007 11:27 PM

impactbreaker, as the doctor of AHS could you care to explain what is sprain, and what could possibly lead to a sprain in knee/thigh area and what kind of implications to the injurer?

because I read in tw.yahoo.com that she sprained her knee. then the bandange should be on her knee, but why on her thigh? I think the only right thing I have read is that it's on her left leg....... -_-

I know what you're thinkin' impact..... you're hoping you're the one's who gonna wrap that bandage thing on her left leg right! *smack*

Sprain is when you stretch "ligaments" which are structures responsible to make the joint stable at its position. They connect bone to bone while "tendons" connect a muscle to a bone. Whenever they're stretched, the main symptom is pain. The most pain, it is less likely that any of the ligaments got ruptured, while less pain but joint instability instead are likely that these ligaments got ruptured. I was guessing that's exactly what happened to ayu, since the way these bandages were done look like they were made more to immobilize her knee in order to give rest to the affected ligaments and ease the pain. She most likely had just a mild (Grade 1) sprain though.

EDIT: You can read a bit about it here: http://www.upmc.com/HealthManagement...chunkiid=11721

Answering to the other questions. The cause of her sprain was probably while she was training a dance move or running on stage. There's a chance she could have slipped and twisted her knee trying to gather balance, or that she "overworked" that joint while dancing and/or running. There's a chance that she could have hit her knee against something by accident too. The implications are only that she's feeling knee pain at the moment. She'll most likely completely recover if se gives some rest to her knee.

Well, the bandages were made to immobilize, not to cover a wound. This is why they are in the leg/thigh instead of the knee, because the thighs muscles are the ones responsible for moving the knee joint.
