I saw it a years ago, I don't think that is a gay movie. The plot isn't about gays (Only the main caracter is gay). I think that is a movie about the adolescense: love, sex, friends, family...

Is a good movie, I'm really happy that Ayu appears ^^

I just watched the whole movie. It's so sad. I wanna know whether Ito got Yoshida. Ayu played her part really well. She should do more acting. She was really great :yes

I saw it on YouTube. Someone upped loads of "gay movies" and this was one of them

I loved Ayumi so much in this film.. I have no idea why she hasn't acted in more films, she was such a great actress.

Like grains of sand was so amazing, it really portrayed loneliness, and how it feels to be a gay teenager very accurately. The ending is really beautiful, and the friendship between Aihara ( Ayumi ) and Shuji ( Yoshinori ) was my favourite part of the film though hehe. The way they were both going through such hard times, yet they still opened up to eachother, and finally became happy.
