MTV used to be a good channel, with Celebrity Deathmatch, Daria, Beavis & Butthead, & 3 South. Now, MTV is just crap. I watch VH1 more now.

SpaceShower is a million better.

I tought about this today...music channels in japan put so much more effort in lives which is really cool...MTV is more than crap!

i remember when i was a kid, MTV was awesome! i used to watch videos on there for hours and hours. but then slowly the videos disappeared. now it basically sucks. i never watch it anymore unless i'm absolutely desperate for something to watch. all that they ever play are stupid fake reality shows and other mindless things. what happened to the music?

The first thing I saw on MTV was Britney Spears' Sometimes PV. Oh, yea...I became an instant fan...and man, TRL was so awesome back then......lots of games cool games where u win prizes etc. But now TRL is piece of garbage that needs to be thrown away along with all the reality. I mean, U know when network is trouble when they give Tila Tequila a show.....yes, that's right...the chick has her own reality show! Pathetic!

I don't really condemn things...so MTV can do whatever it wants. Youtube shows me everything I need to see.

I don't really care for MTV anymore, one way or the other XD I actually kind of forgot that it was part of my TV programming package for a while.

I don't have cable and I'm glad because the only thing that's worth it is The Daily Show/Colbert Report, and some special cable channels that I wouldn't be able to afford anyway. :)

At least a couple years ago, there was a satellite channel that reran Daria...I can't remember what it's called though.

Yes, MTV Japan and SpaceShower are both oodles better. Given his comment at the VMA, I think Justin Timberlake should take over MTV!

MTV has always just been what the popular culture is, so why are you blaming MTV for what is considered popular?

MTV isn't going by what it stands for..MUSIC TELEVISION. I don't mind some reality shows on there but MTV has overdid with the reality shows to where u really don't see any videos on there anymore. I mean they even have artist telling them to show more videos. (ie Justin Timberlake!!!)

I stopped watching MTV like...6 years ago? Maybe longer...when they started playing 5 secs of a music video and playing more reality shows, that's when they lost me...I remember when you used to turn on MTV and there was nothing but videos or interviews with artists or MUSIC news! D: MTV is so stupid now. I'd rather watch VH1.
