Most channel packages in the US include a semi-Americanized version of BBC. I never watch it though so I'm not too sure what's on it.

I'm also interested to know if it's exclusive to the hearing loss thing as well.

I've never even heard of BBC. My parents got rid of our Comcast package so that we have just the bare minimum now, though, because it was sucking up our money like woah. I guess I don't have BBC :( Ayu on my TV would be so effing cool.

Funny that this happens, because I always have dreams of Ayumi on TV. Like, in my country! (:laugh) Secretly, I'm hoping that this will spark an international exposure, but I'm sad that (if it happens) it will all have started with news about her hearing loss. :(
