Does anybody find the title WE ARE "LONELY GIRL" quite bizarre? I wonder if she's singing about a lonely girl who has multiple personality disorder :laugh j/k

Anybody here a fan of "re-make"? That's like one of my most favorite hitomi songs :yes It's a song that never grows old on me.

I hope hitomi announces some new music soon. I don't think she'll retire now. but it might take a while before we hear new music from her, but I really hope not.
she's just one of those artists who don't need to constatly release music to stay relevant. good for her, bad for us fans :P

I love re-make. I like how she sounds bored/monotone while singing and then on chorus the tone of her voice just changes. it's a really creative song.
another album-track favorite of mine is "pray" from LOVE LIFE. I never hear it mentioned it and I just really like that song.

has anyone here besides me heard Rinka's new single "MARIA/smile"? those songs really remind me of hitomi. I could see hitomi singing both songs :yes
who knows , maybe Rinka was inspired by hitomi? I don't if they're friends or whatever, but Rinka was the star of the fashion segments on hitomi's fashion & music tour on 2005. They were talking together in the backstage footage.

I think hitomi and Rinka are friends. I saw them together in photos couple of times.. and there's an interview with her in the LLs book of hitomi.
I'm definitely gonna give it a listen. A bit weird to choice MARIA title.. really hitomi-ish.

YES! I love this song. "thermo plastic" was just a great great great album. I also love "Bird"!

I find "Japanese girl" a bit overrated. I like it, but I don't love it. It's not really her music style IMO.

I watched the MARIA PV and I'm not very fond of it.. it doesn't sound like hitomi very much, I think. Well, Rinka just did a cover of a cover (Korean ver. of Maria), that seems pretty lame to me, haha, I don't know..

Yeah, it's not really her music style, but I'd say it's her "personal" style. She's such a retro girl and the song is pretty retro sounding.
And maybe you're even right about the overrating. Perhaps it's the sexy PV that makes people like the song more than they would do if it was only an album track without a video..

I agree that Japanese Girl is very overrated. It's a good song, but it is not a good hitomi song :P

while I like LOVE CONCENT , I think it's her worst album (not counting the TK era albums tho).

I'd like to see hitomi go back to her old sound: heavy percussion + retro-guitar / retro-melodies + orchestral instruments + her nasal vocals with emotion again = pure perfection. I think the perfect example of a song that has all of these is "IS IT YOU?".

Yes, I agree! "LOVE CONCENT" is an excellent album. But compared to her other post-TK albums, it's not as great. I'm not exactly super fond with songs like "GO MY WAY" and "LOST emotion in DARKNESS", but I really like "Day-O" and "Love Angel".

"IS IT YOU?" is a hitomi classic. We could add "WISH" as a classic too.

I doubt it's the PV. I really loved that song way before I even watched the PV (and to say the truth, the PV sucks anyway). I don't think the song is overrated. It's just that it is very, very catchy and energetic. I'm happy that hitomi made a song like that because it definitly sparked some interested back into her, specially after we were presented to the boredom of TRAVELER and a long break without new releases.

I agree that LOVE CONCENT was not one of her best albums (CAR"G"Y MAMA and ai no kotoba are just plain horrid), but imo, it was much better than TRAVELER.

Why do most people don't like the albums I like? LOL. Just like for Ami. Many people hated "CONNETTA"... It's my favorite album from her! XD Anyway. I really love "TRAVELER" and I'm not at all disappointed by that album or find it boring.

The only song I can remember from TRAVELER is SPEED STAR, which I love and some other song I forgot the name that sounds like a circus show.

Well, there's a hitomi song I really LOVE that I believe people don't really like:

INNER CHILD

That single has the most misleading cover ever though O_o;;;

^ INNER CHILD was one of the songs that got me into hitomi.

it's just seems INNER CHILD is often like overlooked cos unlike other singles off Huma-Rhythm, INNER CHILD wasn't a huge hit.
