^ Awesome. Thanks :D

Jwiz 2nd February 2008 06:04 PM

wow she's gonna be like jolin - very long chart life in taiwan XD

TNeilson 2nd February 2008 08:18 PM

I think Ayu is the only one Japanese singer that get really popular in Taiwan. I mean, Taiwanese do listen to J-POP frequently, but most of them download it from the internet. I once heard "(miss)understood" is not only the best selling in Taiwan back in 2005, the album sold over 100,000 copies here. that's crazy! some huge Taiwanese singer can't even achieve that number.

woah cool..she get number one position again

yeah...it's simply amazing; she managed to outsell big stars like Jay Chou in 2005..but i wasn't aware of that until i knew of it recently, haa.

I'm really impressed with Ayu's album doing so well in other countries. Honestly, I think "GUILTY" is really deserving of this success (though it didn't fair too well in Japan).

week2: #1 40.74%
week3: #1 23.1%
week4: #1 18.74%

week6: #1 16.01%

and kingdom?

truehappiness 7th February 2008 01:11 AM

Kingdom will probably sell less than 2 percent at most. Koda albums tend to flop in Taiwan.

Jwiz 7th February 2008 05:41 PM

^ yeah =( koda overseas' fanbase is still quite weak.

And oh yeah...i've been watching the 2007 百大发烧榜 on mtv taiwan since the beginning on 3rd feb..and it shows the 100 most popular MV(s) ( be it chinese, Japan or western ) played in mtv in the previous year. So now it's down to the top 20..and what makes it so nerve wrecking is that i haven't seen one ayu mv from 100 to 21!! so im sure that since ayu is so popular in taiwan..chances are at least one of her 07 Mv will be in the top 20 XD

You're wrong :|~

Koda CDs tend to do horribly on this Taiwan chart.

Maybe you're thinking about the avex mu-mo shop sales chart where the stupid best album sold a lot, probably scary Koda fans buying from that shop because they wouldn't dare buy it in public. :\ I dunno.
