Probably kumi is more of her own singing style so she likes her a bit more, not surprising as ayu never touched R&B, Hip-Hop but she still likes ayu too which is amazing!

portuguese, but really simple even if I don't speak portuguese, they just say that beyonce revealed in an interview that her two favorite japanese singers are Ayu and Kuu

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if she was just given their names beforehand just for the sake of the interview. They always give 'em the two most well-known singers in the industry. and Beyonce would probably laugh with those powerful pipes of hers at a song like 'Bold & Delicious'. That goes for 'MORE' as well. :P

This is what I think. Just to image a good image to Japanese people, she said she liked them.

Wow so it's true then!!! She really does like Ayu and Koda o.o.............I never would've expected Beyonce to even take notice of the Japanese music industry, although with a music career I guess you have to be well-acquainted with various types of music.
