I would go to ayu's tour instead this year's a-nation'.
ayu's ~10th anniversary~ tour is infinitely more interesting for me.

taskinillusion 21st May 2008 09:44 PM

It sucks that she won't be there for the first time since it's started, but at the same time, she does need to concentrate on her tour more. It is her tenth anniversary afterall and she doesn't need to stretch herself too thin. She does so many things at once as it is...

Hanabi_surreal 21st May 2008 10:27 PM

boooo... ¬¬ that sucks...
Ok... are good artisit, but is strange an A-nation without Ayu... so... the only thing thaht I really wanna know is...
who will close the concerts O_O ... it will be interesting to know who's the next in the avex "favorites" list ^^

Perhaps they can finally get Namie Amuro to perform

Yeah, you are right. It will be strange without Ayu, but we still have TOHOSHINKI to cheer us up;).

TRF will close the concerts.

Beauty4123 21st May 2008 10:53 PM

aww, that sucks. :(

Ayumiko 21st May 2008 10:54 PM

its definitely not the same without ayu...especially how avex is celebrating its 20th anniversary...BUT if ayu can have more time to rest and do other stuff by not attending a-nation, I rather her not.

btw...ayu is not attending the share-holders meeting thing this year too in june right?

That's what I'm thinking/hoping. She is the only one that comes close to Ayumi's status as an icon and she would be the perfect closer to the show. She really should have been doing it all these past years and then have them alternate who would close the show on each date.

I'm actually surprised (and happy to hear) that she still has that big of an impact nowadays years after her peak. :)

another proof that screams out the power of ayu~ :luv2

I don't buy the argument that she's going to be working on her tour, and that interferes with the a-nation dates. Her tour ends in June! a-nation doesn't start for another couple months! Unless she's doing the Asia dates at the end of the summer. Or maybe another tour altogether...STADIUM TOUR 2008 A, anyone?

Most likely the asia dates.
But maybe the idea of another tour is also true XD

pommy48 21st May 2008 11:25 PM

ah..AH HAHA i love the part with low sales without ayu~ thanks for the article!

KuroixShiroi_Namida 21st May 2008 11:29 PM

Thanks for the news :mini

The low sales part is funny XD!@

Bigtop 21st May 2008 11:36 PM

That's kind of upsetting. But I think it's because of either prepping up for the overseas portion of the Asia Tour coming later this fall, or maybe because she wants to take a break from the a-nation situation, or maybe even both...

If I'm not mistaken, then most (or all) artists that perform at a-nation are manged by Avex Marketing, while Namie's mangement is Vision Factory and that's why she doesn't participate in the a-nations.

Btw, why is everyone here so convinced that Ayu won't participate in the AN08? The article says that it's possible that she may not appear however there is no official confirmation from Avex yet. I'm guessing we will know for sure in June whether she will be there or not.

Besides aren't HK papers famous for publishing random crap about Ayu without having any real good source?

ComatoseBunnySnatcher 21st May 2008 11:41 PM

amen, honey!

if ayu is putting this much emphasis on AT08, it's prolly gonna be pretty darn awesome! :lech

truehappiness 22nd May 2008 12:00 AM

I don't think it's confirmed necessarily.. right?

"Ayumi Hamasaki is known as the greatest j-pop singer of all-time, no other female singer can compare with sales and status of Hamasaki Ayumi in current asian market."

I beg to differ. :rolleyes
