Why am I not so surprised of Dearest being #18? :D Maybe it's because it's indeed one of most beautiful love songs in the world. For me, as a personal favourite, is CAROLS. It makes me so emotional and Dearest has never done that to me. Well, at least not as much as CAROLS does. <3 But congratulations for Ayu. :>

On these countdowns, new songs always outrank the old ones. These are done by fan vote so people typically favor the new songs. (That's why these countdowns are more just for the fun of it and never accurate) All the ones from 07/08 probably won't be on the countdown again or will be much lower next time. Any old song(pretty much 03 or earlier) still on the countdown somewhere shows that the song stood the test of time.

It kind of is, the way STEP you kind of is too. It goes over the course of a relationship, instead of focusing on one part. However, the way SEASONS was written made it much more memorable in a way.

I think One Love is a little too high, along with Soba ni Iru ne. Top thirty, may be, but not top 5.

However, I do think Everything, CAN YOU CELEBRATE?, Chiisana Koi no Uta, White Love, Lovers Again, and Yuki no Hana are way underrated.
