I am very proud of Ayu, and I respect her for being the classy person she is. :D She is a beautiful woman, inside and out.

I am... proud of ayu!

She's now the ONLY singer that i listen to everyday, forever, for the rest of my life...
idk why, but since i became her fan in mid 2006, i never even once bored of her music (i'm so proud of myself).

prussian blue 16th August 2008 05:10 AM

she's good or maybe beyond good?

i'm impress with this little girl who was not a good student in school, but will take effort to her dream through her lyrics even though she lives in a single family. she has her own idea to make all the covers and all of them are really amazing! i really impress with this girl and i hope we all should learn sthg from her

freedreamer 16th August 2008 05:49 AM

I got to know Ayu in late 2006, and even though I'm not an old fan of hers or anything, but I'm deeply touched by everything that she has put out in this scene.

Everything - her singles, albums, concerts... I think they have all achieved extraordinary results...

Sometimes I worry when she doesn't do so well, for example when GUILTY wasn't #1 on the charts. But as I look at the other budding singers whom I adore as well, I realized that Ayu is really doing much better than all of them combined.

Even though it has been 10 years, Ayu has not wavered in her popularity and position in the J-Pop music scene. Sure, she may not be the greatest singer, but we all know her voice and songs comes from her heart, and I think that's why she's still around.

I don't care anymore if people are going to criticize Ayu for anything that she has done/will be doing, I only know that I will respect whatever decisions she make for herself.

Ayu has taught me a lot of things from her interviews, attitude in concerts, and songs throughout these 1+ year, and I never regretted knowing her music.

So, looking at the newer singer's achievements, and looking at Ayu's own achievements in 1998... and traveling over the years... I can only say that I'm VERY proud of Ayu! Proud of her achievements, proud of her strength, proud of her determination, proud of her ever-shining soul...

So, as a fan, what are your thoughts of Ayu after her being in the music scene for 10 years?

Wow, this sounds exactly like me :shakehead! I agree 100%...also, here's something I said in another thread:

And so far (and I don't think anyone ever will) no one has been able to replace my Ayu. There's just something about this girl that I love to death....her personality, her music, her cute voice, her wonderful persona. I have the utmost respect for her because she has never, unlike many other artists, crossed over to raunchiness and has always kept it classy. Not only that, she's extremely courageous (ie. continuing to sing despite the fact that she's half-deaf) and persevering. I guess you can say that my love and respect for Ayu has strengthened as I've gotten to know more about her. Even if she isn't quite as talented as other artists out there, there's just something special about Ayu for me. I think it would really take a lot for me to replace Ayu in my top spot even after she stops making music. So yeah, enough of my ranting and raving lol. I don't wanna seem like an Ayu worshipper :dead2.

I wish i've known ayu earlier, but anyway im proud of her! She worked non-stop for ten years, which is commendable and her hard work has paid off =)

Lanz16 16th August 2008 08:55 AM

Im a proud fan of her since I was freshman in high school.

About 4 years ago, I was curious about this singer with such talent unlike some western female artist who shed their skin to gain popularity.
Unlike Ayu, she mainly uses her God-given talent to make a huge impact in Japan's music society and make a difference in the music world.

Her lyrics is not a so-so or shallow but it focuses more on her real feelings and being herself as a person, and her voice is not that powerful enough but I can consider it as unforgettable.

Even though I didn't catch up in her humble beginnings in the late 90s, I see her development through the years.

Aderianu 16th August 2008 10:26 AM

I am proud of Ayu! She's great

miroro 16th August 2008 11:12 AM

yeh, i'm proud of ayu. Since I know her, everything has changed for me. I have to listen to her everyday, i need to see her pvs or photos .. i need her music for living.
So.. yeah, i'm proud of ayumi. I'm proud of the living-goddess

waterballoon 16th August 2008 01:33 PM

We are all such sweet fans! I think it's amazing how her songs don't move into the style that's really popular these days, i.e R&B/electronic sounds, especially her ballads, it's really the standard piano/guitar/drums combo, and even so, she still sounds better than everyone else!

Taki 16th August 2008 01:56 PM

Of course I do
I can't do not proud of she
Ayu is extraordinary person and I respect to her

elepop 16th August 2008 02:06 PM

Of course I'm proud of Ayu. She has achieve so much in 10 years. She's released tons of amazing singles and songs. Although, for the last 2-3 years her music wasn't as great as it used to be, she's still working her ass off. Even though she became half-deaf. I hope she'll continue to surprise us with her music.

Teppei-chan 16th August 2008 03:22 PM

Yes,I´m very pround of Ayu.She has reached so many think.

xLuna&1LOVE 16th August 2008 07:38 PM

Course I am... 10 years ago she wasn't very good as now xD

emi♡ 17th August 2008 09:47 AM

Absolutely. She's made me more proud in her career than anyone I know, because of the things she's learned, and what kind of person she is and has come to be, which is more important to me than any physical thing she has accomplished. I can only wish that I can have the same wisdom to know myself someday.

dartsofpleasure 17th August 2008 01:25 PM

Hell right, I'm proud of her! Even though nowadays people are saying she's not as great as she used to be, she's still the same Ayu. She still built herself up from nothing ten years ago by working hard and being honest with herself and to her fans. And somehow she's managed to stay at the top (or near there) since then using that same formula. And that will always be impressive and always worthy of praise. GO AYU!

lovelism 17th August 2008 01:45 PM

I'm very Proud of Ayu....Wish her another great 10 years!

~Tsubasa~ 17th August 2008 03:23 PM

I'll always be proud of Ayu!

Besides, if it wasn't for her music and her dedication, I wouldn't be here
