I'm glad to see a thread for her around AHS. Shibasaki is amazing, I can't wait to listen to more stuff from her. Yoku Aru Hanashi (if I written well) got to be one of my favorite songs of the year, as well as Sai Ai.

Singer/actress Kou Shibasaki has found a new boyfriend, says the newest issue of Josei Seven. She was recently spotted with TAKUYA∞, the vocalist of rock band UVERworld, which finally achieved its first #1 single last month with the "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" theme song "Hakanakumo Towa no Kanashi."

According to the magazine, the two were already acquainted, but they met again in the fall at a gathering with their musician friends, and they immediately hit it off. On December 5, Shibasaki attended UVERworld's concert at the Nippon Budokan. In addition, Josei Seven reported that they spent three consecutive nights together on dates. The magazine also published a photo of them at a Christmas illumination event in Roppongi.

Since 2005, Shibasaki had been dating actor Satoshi Tsumabuki, who co-starred with her in the drama series "Orange Days." Many thought they were headed for marriage, but in light of this news, it seems that they have already broken up.

Kou Shibasaki (27) has found her next starring role in the movie "Shokudo Katatsumuri." It is the second feature-length film from director Mai Tominaga, who got her start doing TV commercials.

"Shokudo Katatsumuri" is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Ito Ogawa. Using food as its theme, it depicts the relationship between a mother and daughter.

Shibasaki plays a young woman who was so heartbroken that she lost her voice. She returns home to her free-spirited mother (Kimiko Yo), whom she has never been close to. With her cooking skills, she decides to open a small restaurant that accepts only one reservation per day, putting all her effort into preparing a meal that will make her customers happy.

Tomokazu Miura and Brother Tom are among the supporting cast members, playing quirky characters. The movie is also said to have a fantasy touch, with animated/CG scenes and musical sequences.

Filming began in May and is expected to finish in late June. The release date for "Shokudo Katatsumuri" is currently set for 2010.
