Even if she had one and knew, it doesn't mean she'd acknowledge them. It's also possible that Ayu's father could have gotten with another woman who already had children, and thus, Ayu could have step-siblings. There are many possibilities

As far as we know, ayu's father left her and her mother when she was a baby. Well, her father could have found a woman and maybe they had children, so it is perfectly possible for ayumi to have a brother (or more), think about it, maybe you are ayu's brother or sister:lech.

oh! that is very interesting, wow I hope she does have a bro or sis. But Id love to be her brother! lol I think of her as my sister I realy respect her that much if Ayumi has a brother that guy is realy lucky!

Her father should have regretted leaving her because she was her daughter, her own blood, not because the amounts of money she has or the famous she is now.

Maybe she is so good as a singer because of all the things that happened to her, including her family issues (dont get me wrong, i mean that she is what she is thanks to all her experiences on her life, including the bad ones).

I think it's entirely possible she has half-siblings. But if i were her, i'm not sure if i want to find out or if i knew i had, if i want to meet with them. It seems kinda weird and with a father like that, she may not want to associate with that anymore.

But cool topic. As a fan, i'm quite curious haha!

that is something that was made for her idol profile, it's held in way too high regard as it's just somethig she probably made up on the spot back then. It's very old and very questionable information in the first place.

Hmm... Was her mother an only child or is this unknown?
Because I've never heard anything about her family other than her mother and grandmother so I think it'd be interesting even if she just had aunts, uncles, or cousins.

Ayu having siblings would be really cool~ And I think it's definitely possible.

Has she ever commented on whether or not she knew of her father's nationality? I always assumed he was an westerner because Ayu has a lot of non-Asian features and I don't buy into her having had plastic surgery. =\

It'd be cool if the theory about her father being a US military person was true and she had half-siblings in the States! But then they might really not know of each other's exsistance.

The possibility of her having half-siblings is definitely there. If there's one thing about Ayu that probably none of her fans will know, it's her family. I mean, I haven't heard a single word about cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces or nephews. No, I'm not saying that very little thing that happens to or around her has to be said but it's like the other members of the family don't exist. Maybe she doesn't get along well with the others members. :shrug
Even if she did know about other siblings, I personally think she wouldn't say anything either. To me, it's one part of her life that she sees as being just her past. Like there isn't a good reason to care.

I can't remember if it's been specifically stated whether they were married or not. But it seems that Hamasaki is her mothers last name and not her fathers.
