I'm saying this nicely, but please be careful. I don't know who they are but I'm sure if a gay fan saw your post they would be upset at your "politcaly-incorrectness" and that might start some flame war :tired.

Lolol he's kind of right. That emoticon is asking for trouble. In the end it was just a PV...and it was meant to achieve a certain kind of effect I'm sure. And it most definitely succeeded in what it set out to do if it left this deep an impression on people (like me). I think Ayu really succeeded in what she set out to do too...confuse and tease her fans a little LOL. I guess what I'm saying is, if you're really her fan, her orientation is irrelevant. She's still the same Ayu we know and love.

ayu-fan 22nd December 2008 06:18 AM

i dont think they're gay, because girls tend to do something like that when they're really close. imo.

asmAyumi1992 22nd December 2008 06:35 AM

I'm not sure. Maybe Midori is just Ayu's really close friend. I have 5 best friends ever. Many people that doesn't know us will think that we are like a lesbian group. But the fact is not. Ayu is probably like me too. Midori and Ayu is just a very close friend. Their relationship are really close(I think so) that would make people think that they are a les couple or something. I don't know..

You're right, girls are a lot more comfortable with each other. Not like male friends, if a guy got too close to another guy, it's considered gay. But if two girls were really close, showing a lot of affection, they don't have to necessarily be lesbians. Then again, it also depends on the culture. It's common in the US but I'm not sure abut Japan...

As long as Ayu is happy I am happy for her, as long as its not DJ OZMA :eviltongu. But I think they are just close friends.

Theres publicity of her and one of her dancers and she strongly denies the rumors.

Then theres publicity of her and yet another dancer and she is advocating it.

Tbh I think she just feeding off the GREEN pairing and writes the Midori messages so that the previous rumors die out.

jimex289 22nd December 2008 07:36 AM

Lol good point. To divert everyone's attention from the whole Shuya thing. So it's like...it's ok for her to be with a girl but not with a guy? LOL.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 22nd December 2008 07:39 AM

No

I don't think so at all

and if theres something, good for them! lol

anyway, she is always that close to any of her dancers! I remember she was like that to Kayanochi, Shuya, Zin

so yea

Ayu_no_tenshi 22nd December 2008 07:39 AM

i highly doubt it. they just seem like they are getting closer and they are great friends. shuya is her "man" in most of the PVs but that doesn't mean they are together and she talks about ZIN all the time and practically worships him! so what? and it seems only the western fans are reading into this more than they should.

mellody 22nd December 2008 11:30 AM

hahaha, you better ask Kazuyoshi Shimomura for sure lol

KarenPang 22nd December 2008 11:44 AM

frankly I don't know but even if ayumi were to go towards that route , there's nothing wrong with it at all isn't it ?

it's her choice at the end of the day

Ayunk 22nd December 2008 11:46 AM

I don't think there is anything between them. So even if there is something going on, we have to accept it because we are ayu's fans. We will give her our support :yes

nikku76 22nd December 2008 12:17 PM

I wouldn't be surprised if there was but.. I don't really think there is. We all know Ayu can be pretty goofy in her TA messages, some of us tend to speculate she posts them drunk. :P And with her sense of humor lately, I really just took it as her pulling people's legs and fueling any rumors because at this point, she is no longer bothered by what people assume.

Now I won't say I doubt the possibility that Ayumi may be at the least bisexual. It sits well with her lyrics and statements she has made in the past. At the least, she believes love is love and is willing to defend that belief by even putting herself on the same gallows as those she defends. Hamasaki-san is just that kind of person, strong and defiant when it comes to what she believes in and the people she is loyal too.

I have no preference either way. In a way, it's almost cooler if she as a straight woman is standing up for homosexual rights in a country where such sentiment is not so prevalent in the media as it is in US and Canada. Also, it's not uncommon for straight women to have affection for gay men but dislike lesbians and vice versa but Ayumi made a statement in support of both, which I think was a nice touch.

To the person who said they hope she isn't getting political... I don't see this as political at all. She's not really trying to pass or shoot down bills or get anyone into office. She is using her art to display another aspect of love, one which some believe is not the same or not real but a mockery of. She's not lobbying for marriage or civil unions or anything, she's just saying "this, to me, is love". Sadly, some people will just never get it. :x

No. I wouldn't mind it, but I really don't think there is anything there - just simply promo for the single.

I think you've misunderstood. I was referring to the thread starter as being politcally incorrect to many peoples' standards. Nothing to do with running into office lol Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to be patronizing, but please look up what "politically incorrect" means- I can't define it~ :)

I think its possible, considering we are all born bisexual, i'd have no problem with that, ayu is too old for me, anyway xD(me = 14, ayu = 30)

jimex289 22nd December 2008 10:59 PM

^I'd have to disagree there lol. I think I know what you're trying to get at but if we're all born bisexual, a majority of people would be bisexual and not heterosexual. For the most part people are all born heterosexual with the possibility of becoming bisexual or homosexual.

Aisha_Angel 22nd December 2008 11:20 PM

If so then I can see WHY Shuya decided to cheat on Ayu in the Days PV.

Wooooo where did you got that from? Donīt enter in that subject cause itīs pretty risky.

I donīt think they are togeteher. Cīmon, if Shuya was playing Midoriīs role instead no one would have brought this topic up. Itīs stupid. And I agree with what nikku76 said. I totally agree with you, great point you made there.
