Sparkle = :heart
I thought it was just amazing lol. I love it when she attempts to sex it up in her videos :laugh Curtain call was alright. Everything just seemed so...shaky. The song was really really great though and I knew I would love it just from listening to the preview. |
I like Sparkle. But is there any deeper meaning to the pv? I'm still unclear of the link of her performing the song in a '80s program' then jump to the red scene.
Curtain call's pv is rather disappointing, but then again it does suit the song since it's very soothing. The thing I hate most is the fireworks/lights, oh yeah the speed that she's walking at. |
Sparkle:
Some parts remind me of Lady gaga, esp the parts when she had her huge black shades on.. And some parts were quite freaky, esp the part when she had red eyes.. Reminded me of hell girl actually.. (Jigoku shojo). I still cant figure out whats the connection between the 80's performance and the latex suit performance.. But i'm guessing that it's trying to tell us that sometimes what we see may not be what it really is.. Just like the 80's performance.. we see ayu as the cute, happy, childish, and carefree girl.. but beneath tht facade, she is actually fierce and trapped.. On a separate note, I actually liked the close up shots of her eyes.. and boy~ tht latex suit is DAMN tight. Curtain Call: A simple PV to go along with a simple and soothing song.. I thk the only spectacular thg abt Curtain call is that the whole PV is done in ONE SHOT(I'm guessing that it is, because it seems almost impossible to cut and edit a walk scene - high chance of getting a jump shot if they did.). Can anyone tell me where that lightbox with the words "curtain call" and her name went to? I cant seem to find it in the PV.? |
Curtain call has to be the worst PV I've seen. Love the song though.
I'll give my thoughts on Sparkle in a minute. |
I love Sparkle's PV!!! I like how she's imitating Seiko, Britney and Lady Gaga in the video! It's like 80s-90s-modern times... it's very cool actually. And she looks so hot and sexy! Woo! Nice ass Ayu!!!
Curtain call... I almost cried to the song. I think the PV is REALLY meaningful actually... like her walking through the rain, snow and fireworks... it's like through different times... rainy days, winter, summer... through the seasons, through the times, it makes me feel nostalgic and sad. And when the guy used the umbrella to shelter her from the rain, and walked away after that... I found that so touching! It's like she's saying "There are people in our lives who come and help us, and leave almost immediately"... something like cherish everything we have with us now. Both Sparkle and Curtain call have really good concepts to me. I'm happy to see Kazouyoshi is improving in his directing... and that Luis guy's ballad PVs are so... he has his style! It's like Ayu walking and singing in a set within a set... cool. |
Curtain call is really touching. Ayu walks through falling leaves, rains, snows and fire works. It's her trail of life and career.
Ayu, thank you so much. |
[QUOTE=kiseki89;1865095]I like Sparkle. But is there any deeper meaning to the pv? I'm still unclear of the link of her performing the song in a '80s program' then jump to the red scene.
QUOTE] I think it has a meaning. I agree with you again Mai!!! :D Ayumi has been always attached to a cute, childish image. I think she is trying to say that everyone outsides see her like a very cute girl, no matter what she does. But in this video i think she says "you know, you may see me like a cute, sweet girl... but i'm not!!!! i'm a 30 year old woman, even if i'm forced to look like that outside!!" :yes And about the video... Its not good, neither bad. Plain ok :yes |
I liked them both. Sparkle was the best of the two for me, with the different visual images, very interesting. The dramatic poses and faces work well with the theme, though there didn't seem to be as much as the 'innocent' Ayu in it as much as the preview, which was slightly disappointing.
Curtain call has a nice simple PV, and Ayu's performance thankfully was not as overly dramatic as some of her other recent PVs , I thought it was simple enough so that it could focus on the emotion in the song. |
Curtain call
Its so simple and reminds me of Christina Aguilera's "Voice Within" MV. But the difference is that there's a dramatic feeling on the background: rain, snow, and a showering fireworks. Sparkle Hmmm... I thought it was an another cutesy PV but when the scence changes, WOAH! A World of Latex! XD The purple Ayu and the red latex guys around her really creeps me out! Its a fresh new PV but there's some elements of western-y style like Britney and Lady Gaga. I would say that I love Curtain call PV better.:love |
I admit I was disappointed in the "Sparkle" PV. It was hot, but the gas mask dancers kinda freaked me out... It could have been better.
"Curtain Call" the song is nice... a good closing song to her album. The PV was pretty and reminded me of "Pride" PV. |
Sparkle: the idol part is so great. The other one is just gross, ridiculous and uninspired, seriously... The contrast could have been good but this other part ruins the whole PV. -_- Yet this contrast has some meaning at least.
Curtain call: another one shot PV (I absolutely love them). Very simple, bare-footed, some "natural" elements -rain, snow, fire, wind?. A bit similar to Pride (staff taking care of ayu). Good or Very good PV I think. |
Sparkle: The 80-s thing is really nice, but I was disappointed that idol-ayu only appeared in the first 40 seconds and the last 5, also, I don't see the reason it changes from idol to latex, it just suddenly does o.0 I really like the scene with the red eyes, though, seems she is...a cyborg or robot? Also the camera was great and i liked the first 3 spots ayu in the beginning^^ and all the songs spinning before sparkole comes up are ayu songs as well lol
curtain call: I LOVE IT SO MUCH Its HEAVEN V2, a one shot with just her walking, always in the middle of the screen, I really love the scenery changes with the rain, the snow and the sparks and the whole set is just beautiful! but her too fast walking kind of freaks me out, everytime i watch the video i just see her legs moving too fast! |
i really disliked Sparkle. i expected alot more from it which is why i am so disappointed. Ayu was WAAAY too Koda Kumi in the PV. i disliked almost everything about it. :no
Curtain Call was nice. the only thing i didn't like was her crying at the end, it was really fake. |
Curtain Call: Very average pv. Nothing special about it. Though at least the song sounded better in high quality. I still don't like the fact though that she uses vibrato on EVERY line - overkill big time.
Sparkle: Better than I thought it would be. Definitely Shimomura's best PV so far since it seems that he actually learned how to edit a little bit. I would have liked to see more of 80s Ayu though for more balance. I actually really loved the black outfit with the stiletto heals. Still don't really like the song though - average music with below average lyrics. However, what is up with the purple scene towards the end? She is bouncing up and down on one of her dancers like they are having sex. That part in particular I thought was just too ****ty for Ayu. I also just saw Next Level: Yep, the whole pv is her driving. I won't say its a bad pv because it does actually kind of suit the song and the scenery is pretty. But it does get boring. Overall though, my prevailing feeling after watching these 3 PVs is - are we ever going to get a truly amazing PV from Ayu again? |
i didn't really like curtain call. i LOVE the song though
Sparkle - her sexiest PV yet, from the preview it looked disappointing but in full it's :heart. trashy, vibrant, hot colors & then super cute ayu. & her body is hot. she rocks the skin tight suit better than KK imo |
Sparkle - Very unexpected, the previews didn't do it justice imo. It's different, refreshing and well... bloody hot <3
Curtain call - I quite liked the PV, but I LOVE the song! It's sweet, touching and just the right length for the kinda song it is. |
Curtain Call pv was very well done even though not much happens...but it was smooth and fits the song. The pv reminds me of pride and hanabi episode II. I also like the snow and rain and the camera turning.
Sparkle pv was entertaining...I guess its shitmomura's best pv? there was no walking...I was surprised...lol...I like the creepy close up shots...reminds me of ourselves or was it alterna? NEXT LEVEL pv...it was boring...XD...it would of been nice if ayu stopped at a gas station or a diner half way or something. I do like the horse scene. |
NEXT LEVEL is plain but nice.
I liked how ayu wanted to have a microphone in the middle hehe. |
Sparkle was pure terror. I've never been more scared of her in my life, seriously. I liked the pony tail though, I just wish her hair wasn't black =/...
Curtain call was SO obviously photoman, his stamp was ALL over it. She was walking to fast, NOTHING was timed right, it was all artsy =/... |
^ Actually Curtain Call was by Loius Hernandez. But he obviously isn't a good director either.
