umm that is not what i think at all. It seems to me that Ayu's lover has committed sins (which is of course very normal..) but she is still faithful and loyal to him and she kept her love for him even though he has done whatever he did. So i'm guessing that her love will prevail over what happened, i like the lyrics very much

I listened to it again today, and I think that she says 'everyone forgives' too.... I can hear 'but I was holding on for my love' as well. It's hard to make out the middle part, though.

watching the AX Music TV , and watching her lips when she sings I think is -Everyone forgives- Even if it was -Every immoral things- I think it sounds more like -Everyone forgives-...

Bleh, I don't like that set of lyrics. Why couldn't they just print the English in the lyric book, like they did with other songs? Grrrr....this is frustrating. I want to sing along correctly!:weep

I believe the lyrics I reported are correct (wouldn't have posted them otherwise ;) ). When I listen to the CDTV performance those words are what I make out.

I think Ayu is the one overlooking cardinal sins and immoral things for the sake of love, not that she needs to be forgiven for her immoral acts. The person she is forgiving isn't necessarily her lover. That's my interpretation anyway, haha

That is so true! I heard the mp3 and the live performance and whatever she's saying sounds completely different from each other. also I can't underestand what she says after the "every cardinal sins" part I don't think she says everyone forgives.

I dont know how dead this topic is, but if anyone's interested, in the catholic church there are a few ways to classify sins. Although it DOES make sense, the word 'cardinal' is not used in the catholic church to classify sins, however, the word 'carnal' is ... meaning 'physical'. it is usually in reference to a sin of sexual indulgence, and that word fits perfectly, espically if shes referring to cheating in a relationship.

And i am talking from YEARS of catholic school and church o.o

um. so maybe she sais "carnal sins"
