Well, it's rare for an artist to aplologize for a bad performance. Makes her unique, as some have said.

She has, but I think this time she was apologizing for not only that but also her vocals which were very, very weak in that performance.

just my personal opinion, i think her vocal is getting weaker and weaker (i miss the old ayu), i dont really get too much surprise after watching the video

she's not only forgetting the lyrics.she actually can't catch up the music at the beginning of the song,IMO.

i realize that too, the music seems to be a bit faster than normal, idk. yea,may be it's the time she do a 11th anniversary of Evolution :D

btw, i like how she always say thank you to everyone, she didn't forget to appreciate others :)

Ayu is a true artist.
I mean, she take care of her fans :yes and that makes me appreciate her more, now :3

that performance was really bad in terms of her "forgetfulness". She forgot quite a chunk of lyrics and was jus singing repeated lyrics LOL.

I felt really dissapointed with this evolution performance so I'm glad she apologized about this :o

One thing I notice is the sennheiser microphone she is using. Senn has a problem to emphasize too much bass thats why I didnt buy it. And she is already so used to her sony mics. Mics does make a huge difference. :)

But I can hear her weak voice from the start. "You were..." was a little too heavy due mainly to the mic I believed. You can see 2 girls crying from the clip though which means sound isnt everything :)

I'm showing every new Ayu things to a girl I met not so long ago, she seems very interested by Ayu which makes very happy but even if I showed her you were... at music station I totally skipped Best artist, I'm feeling too awkward to show "that". Myself I have been so damn shocked. Plus I preder the version of Music station for you were... less " I will scream as much I can "

The lyrics wasn't a prob but the singing and the out of breath was shocking ! I'm rather shocked although it's not her first very bad performance.

So where can I watch this performance? xD.

same here. She can't pull it off anymore, sadly. Although, I used to think she had days she sang perfectly all the time but it's not true. Her voice has always been kinda unstable and it has changed so much. Best era vocalwise was 2003-2004 for me. Then it went downhill. Vocal is about the most important part of music, so it's getting less interesting for me to listen to her new stuff.

the evo performance..... god. I don't know why but ever since she went deaf on one ear her singing went worse and the deafness is supposedly the cause, but in You were she can definitely still sing beautifully, it's more a breath problem??? I mean in evo it's like she's trying to run a marathon while singing evo. But you can hear the crowd sing more and more as Ayu fails more. The Japanese fans will never abandon her cos she's been there forever. So no matter how bad, she'll always get positive comments XD

she even apologized mid-performance....before the TA post.
