The earthquake and the subsequent tsunamis that hit Japan on March 11 have devastated a large area in northeast Japan.

Fortunately in Tokyo, there have been only a few minor damages, and most businesses haven't been affected seriously, including CDJapan and its suppliers. So, we are happy to announce that we are able to continue processing orders as usual.

However, there will be scheduled electric power outages in Tokyo for a while, and our shipping department won't be able to operate during the day. Even though Japan Post has no problem sending orders overseas, it will take a few days until we are able to resume the shipping process after working out a feasible work schedule.

After March 16, we expect to be able to send orders once a day as usual, but please allow a few extra days than indicated on our site for your order to become available for shipping for a while.

Otherwise, everything is fine at CDJapan. There won't be any problem to process orders. It is taking a lot of extra time, but we are responding to inquiries too.

We received a very large number of messages to find out if we are OK, and we are happy to reassure you that everyone at CDJapan and all of our families have been fine and safe. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts.

I think it has more to do with Avex than CDJ. I don't really get it either though.

I guess lots of people won't really be buying music if they can't really find their homes.

Economically though, I don't see what the benefits are of postponing these releases.

Who knows, maybe they have been getting a lot of flack for some reason.
I know Ayumi was being accused of self promoting while tweeting during all this mess.
It might be because of the company looking like they want to make money when the country is in such a horrible mess??

CDJapan just successfully sent out their first shipment of orders earlier today, it seems.

I wonder if ayu-mi-x 7's CDs have all already been made and are sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

^They should be.. I mean, in america i know that albums and stuff get sent to the stores like a week before they come out. (at least thats how they did it at walmart when i worked for them)
So Avex may not of sent out the albums from their factories..
Which come to think of it, I wonder if they lost anything in the flood and earthquake?? Maybe thats why they got postponed.. to many were lost?

I think I've already, in like 3 different threads, have given "disbelievers" the "summarum" of what went down on twitter last year. Everyone of us, including me, needs to just calm down.

I hate the fact that AT 2 is megamixed. :( I feel like when albums are megamixed, I'm only getting half the song and i can't listen to a song without having the end of the previous song and beginning of the next song rear in their ugly heads when i'm listening to it. I feel jipped when albums are megamixed. :no

I love megamixes, but I also don't like it when they only include a short portion of the remix in it and don't release the remix in full separately. But also, the ayutrance albums like 1 and 3, even though they aren't dj mixes, don't have the full versions of the tracks either. Those are all shortened edits of the full remixes which are around 6-7 minutes usually with dj intros and outros. I hope Avex releases all of the full versions of the remixes on the ayumix 7 trance and house CDs separately like on itunes or something..
