OMG! I'm sooooooo excited that this tour is finally being released on DVD! I feel like we've been waiting a lifetime for this! Like you, I also hope that they decide to include English subtitles as well. Either way, I know I'm going to buy it, lol.

The RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) recently updated their website showing the girls achieve the monumental feat of being certified double platinum for “GIRLS’ GENERATION“. The RIAJ classifies Platinum as 250,000 sales units so double platinum would mean that the girls exceeded a whopping 500,000 sales! If you can recall, SNSD’s Chaku Uta Full (ringtones) downloads for ‘Gee’ also went Double Platinum back in April.

Oricon recently reported that SNSD had achieved 2.6 billion yen (around $32 million USD) in total Japanese sales for the first half of 2011, so the girls are surely doing big things in Japan.
