I LOVE Perfume. It's gorgeous. Way better than Ooh Flop Flop and Flop Bitch

Surreal17 4th November 2013 11:44 AM

the cover it's nice (much better than Femme Fatale) and the song is ok. I'm curious how the album will turn like..

Pieces_of_SEVEN 4th November 2013 06:44 PM

Perfume isn't bad...I don't really care for the lyrics but it's an alright song.

marty 4th November 2013 08:37 PM

Well, I like Perfume... or rather, I really like how her voice sounds while she's singing it. The song is ok, and it has really nice moments here and there.

Perfume sucks. It leads nowhere. What a less than stellar chorus. Of you wanna talk about a missed opportunity, Quicksand from the Circus era shits all over this new release. That song would have been such a hit.

i ocasionally bump into this thread.... I keep following her expecting she'll do some serious music again. i have to say the covers are lovelly she does't look like a crossdresser the make-up is perfect and she looks like herself, also the song, i'm happy to hear she got her vocals here back without all the random autotuning or sexying them up, i kinda hear the old Brit in it that I used to be a huge fan of. I can hear HER vocals and the actual instruments in it, it lacks a bit of the depth for me but if she'll keep that up & better I might start taking her seriously again, which i'd love to. Good direction, Brit. ^_^d

Wow, I really love Perfume! It's amazing and her vocals are great!

No_Doubt 5th November 2013 10:19 PM

Perfume is amazing! Great lyrics, great tune, A+

happiholic★ 6th November 2013 02:53 AM

I like Perfume. Not bad, but not her best. I do love her vocals. They are so... real. I hope for more of this on the new album.

EDIT: I've been thinking about something since I heard Perfume and read reactions on the web from various sources and from my own positive reaction to the song. People seem to be really praising the song, not because its ground-breaking, but because its got "real" vocals. She finally has some life. Its "proof" that she can really sing. And I can't help but wonder, are the standards of the Brit Brit fandom really low? If any other singer put out this song people, I feel, would be less impressed.. So, I'm curious. What do you guys think? Do Britney fans have low expectations?

Perfume is a nice song I like it a lot, too!

I think this album will be amazing=)

Anyone else read that she cited her favorite author as that extremely homophobic preacher? I was like...wtf?

Chibi-Chan 9th November 2013 08:00 PM

Oh Brit, why? And I really don't get it... I mean, I remember that she said during an interview in Femme Fatale era about gay marriage that she thinks everybody should be treated equally. And recently she told Alan Carr that a lot of her close friends and colleagues are homosexual. I always knew that she isn't very smart but I think she's able to get what that man writes after all. So why did she cited this homophobic asshole as her favourite author?

Edit: I found the interview from 2011, it's from OUT magazine (I really liked the photo shots back then. :P).

Q: How would you feel if one of your sons turned out to be gay?
A: I love my boys no matter what.

Q: You’ve been married twice — once for only 55 hours. How do you feel about gay marriage?

A: I think everyone should be treated equally.

Don't get it and it upsets me that she cited Max Lucado as her favourite author. Really Brit, it's time to find yourself a new favourite author...

marty 10th November 2013 12:21 PM

^
I think she's always been pretty conservative, given where she was born, but that she got very soon a lot of experience with gay people around her in the showbusiness, and more importantly in her fandom. I always felt like she wasn't enthusiastically defending omosexuals rights, but I never felt any negativity from her either. I don't think she ever expressed her point of view on the matter -and if she did, it was very vague, and anyway I don't know how much honest she can be since gays are pratically 98% of her fandom.
