It looked as if Yuri was speaking Jessica's parts at the beginning and I just didn't see Jessica until she popped out to sing her part in the middle. When I saw they had skipped the rap break, I was about to break it off. I was like really? They did that mess again!? The most appealing part? The part with the most appeal potential to an American Audience. But it finally came and I was fulfilled. Some members obviously sung live and some didn't sing at all. And some had head sets and others had manual microphones. I wonder why. Their outfits were on point and their performance was on point. Some moments there where you couldn't hear ANYONE singing at all with Taeyeon at one point saving the day and bringing her microphone up and singing loud(er). I don't think they embarrassed themselves at all and I genuinely believed they were received well. ^ I agree with that. They definitely didn't do anything "embarrassing" and I don't think the audience was like "wtf asians" at all haha. They got a nice amount of applause and I'm sure Letterman wanted to invite them back to his pad! haha

too bad that the stage is so small...and they mixed up the song, made the song flow kinda weird...but they did a very good job...

I'm not as familiar with K-Pop (I know more J-Pop stuff, especially Ayu, lol) and I was really impressed with their performance on Letterman!!! I knew who they were and I've heard stuff on YouTube, but it was kind of a new experience for me! Honestly, I am definitely going to check out more of their stuff! They were great!
I hope that more people get into them now especially those unfamiliar with Asian music! I think that's so cool they were on Letterman! I got my Mom to watch lol and told her all about them and how this was such a big deal!!! |
