Your comment made me wonder if this song could be the TK song she said that had high notes still she didn't want to lower the song key? Does any from the other songs could fit in this description? (I haven't listened to any so far)

I falling in love this song from the first listen. Xdd Very beautiful song, 7 minutes, it will be interesting. Waiting for the full version.

Benikari47 2nd April 2015 09:04 PM

I just finished listening to the preview and i already forgot how it goes, it's that forgettable. Another song i'm surely going to skip unless i'm listening to the whole album all at once. NO FUTURE on the other hand is magic, i'm loving every little bit of it!

Although this album will be another extremely ballad orientated one, i actually don't feel exhausted like i did listening to LOVE Again. Everything seems more natural this time, and cohesive in a different way imo.
Not sure if i necessarily prefer it to LOVE Again's songs individually but i actually have a desire to sit and listen through the whole album without catching a nap in between :P

Anything for you sounds really nice
Can't wait to hear the full one. Ayu, please don't disappoint me.

That's a drawback? Many Ayu songs were like this to me and that's what I love most about them, the melody is so unique I can't remember it at once, while songs that are easy to remember get boring really fast.

BlackSilence 2nd April 2015 09:50 PM

^this she has so many songs that even after a billion of listens i still cannot recall the melody, but as soon as i hear it i know what it is! i've noticed that as well!

truehappiness 2nd April 2015 10:07 PM

Uhhhhh....

I like Anything For You but is the chorus just Walk's but in a different key? Even some of the lyrics are similar.

As far as now knowing how the song sounds or w/e after one listen, it's a ballad and generally even if I've been listening to a song for hours, I won't remember it until the second day of spammage.

chocopockymaster 2nd April 2015 10:09 PM

Okay good. We have Anything For You and Walk that are clones of each other (and on the same album no less), and then we have Step by step/The Show Must Go On/snowy kiss. How many times is TK going to compose the same song for Ayu and stick a different name on it???

/flipping tables

Pieces_of_SEVEN 2nd April 2015 10:11 PM

I'm right there with you. Ugh

Tom Punks 2nd April 2015 10:12 PM

did Walk actually have a chorus to begin with? it's like her most unmelodic song ever lmao

^^ omg your freak out is slaying me rn! I agree 100% though, I wish she'd wise up and stop using him already. he made Love songs something unique for her discography but since then, everything he's touched sounds like a lesser version of something prior

I'd like to slay Komuro IYKWIM...and by slay I mean Kamehameha his ass

I agree completely with your comments as well and I'm too angry to add anything else to the conversation. I think I need to back away from the computer lol

attractive nausea 2nd April 2015 10:14 PM

Yeah his work on Love Songs was amazing imo, none of the songs sound alike. But it seems he ran out of ideas, but ayu's also at fault for accepting to sing those songs

Pieces_of_SEVEN 2nd April 2015 10:15 PM

Seriously TK is so over.

SKYia 2nd April 2015 10:16 PM

I really can't see/hear a connection between Walk and Anything for You, I just don't.

truehappiness 2nd April 2015 10:20 PM

The beginning of parts of the chorus are almost exact ringers for Walk and then it veers into a different key.

Bless this post.

The only thing I hear is the obvious overuse of the phrase "nee", it happens in so many of her songs.

hidekirby 2nd April 2015 10:43 PM

Don't just blame TK alone.
Blame also the poor creativity and the laziness of the arrangers!
Sometimes I wonder if it's an inside joke trying to do the exact same thing on so many different levels.

You can have a similar melody but arrangements can do wonders.
Imagine this song with, I don't know, an acoustic guitar, it would be a really different song. It's too hard for them to figure this out.

I'm really fed up with the calm-beggining/piano/fake-violins/then-drums/bells-everywhere combo... God!

SKYia 2nd April 2015 10:52 PM

One thing just hit me, whenever someone says nowadays that Colours or LOVEagain is their best Ayu album ever I usually cringe, of course there are some good songs there but IMO her past songs are (or should be) so much better, but the more I listen to those previews I think it will be in my top 5, maybe even top 3 Ayu albums - not necessarily because the songs are better than past hits but simply because it's the first time I don't dislike or even find so-so any song. I feel this anticipation I didn't feel for a long time.

I agree, though I know there aren't many fans of Hanabi ~episode II~ here, but I wish she did similar arrangement again with all the crazy guitars (not even sure if it's just electric guitar there or something completely else but I still love it)

Actually right now I'm listening to Anything for You on loop and at 2:00 for a short moment I was expecting SAKURA, lol (after uuuuu and the drums it felt like "Ikiteku koto wa doushite setsunai")

I don't mind songs being similar this way, it's like talking awesome melody and making it awesome in a different way, I can't imagine having Snowy Kiss but no Show Must Go On, it doesn't feel redundant just because it sounds similar to something else.

Eh, it's not like she does it every single time. Out of control is not like this.

I feel like for a 'grand sweeping ballad' they do tend to go for the sameish sounds, however. They should add unique instruments here and there like for HEAVEN at least.

Yuta needs to push himself a little. I know he can work magic with upbeat stuff but he needs to diversify just a liiiiittle bit more for Ayu's sake if she's going to continue using him.
