Hey! Say! JUMP to release new album 'DEAR.' + tour schedule revealed

It's been revealed that Hey! Say! JUMP will release their new album "DEAR." on July 27.

"DEAR." comes about a year and a month after the release of "JUMPing CAR," and it's the group's 5th original album. Its track list will be comprised of 16 songs including their single "Kimi Attraction," "Eternal," which was the CM song for Kose Cosmeport's "Clear Turn," and "Ai no Syubidova," which was used in the CM for Bourbon's "Caramel Popcorn" series.

The Limited Edition 1 DVD will contain the PV and making-of footage for "Masquerade," while Limited Edition 2 will come with another CD including 4 unit songs. Furthermore, the Regular Edition will come with a bonus track called "From."

The day after the album's release date, Hey! Say! JUMP will embark on a nationwide arena tour. It will kick off at Osaka-jo Hall and will run until November 3 at Nippon Gaishi Hall for a total of 29 shows in 7 locations.

FUJI TV will be showing a remake of the Korean drama “Misaeng”, a drama which gained immense popularity despite a lack of romance in its story, due to its realistic portrayal of the struggles experienced in the corporate world. Hey! Say! JUMP’s Nakajima Yuto will headline the Japanese drama titled “HOPE ~ Kitai Zero no Shinnyuu Shain~” (HOPE ~ Zero Expectations for New Employee ~), which will start airing in July every Sunday at 9pm. This will also be his first time starring in a primetime drama.

The rest of the cast are also announced. Nakajima will be joined by Endo Kenichi, Seto Koji, Johnny’s WEST Kiriyama Akito and Yamamoto Mizuki. Director Kono Keita (“The Great White Tower”, “Freeter, Ie wo Kau”) will be overseeing the production.

The drama is currently in production.

Nakajima Yuto will play the protagonist Ichinose Ayumu who was was aiming to be a professional Go player but failed to make it until the age limit. He started working as an intern in a general trading company. He gets criticised for his lack of knowledge, he does not even know how to use a photocopier. He strives to overcome the challenges and to contribute as a member of the organisation.

Endo Kenichi will be playing Ichinose’s superior at work. Both Seto Koji and Kiriyama Akito will be playing as Ichinose’s colleague and rivals. Seto’s character is an elite who has a strong sense of pride and is confident about his abilities while Kiriyama’s character is the moodmaker in the team. Meanwhile, Yamamoto Mizuki will be the only female employee in their department who tries to survive in the male-dominated team, coping with discrimination, sexual and power harassment.

Hey! Say! JUMP & Kis-My-Ft2 To Appear On Variety Show Together For First Time On 27 Hour TV

It has been announced that Hey! Say! JUMP and Kis-My-Ft2 will appear together for Fuji TV’s FNS 27 Hour TV, airing July 23-24. This will be the first time that the two groups will co-appear on a variety show.

Fuji TV currently airs “Itadaki High Jump” featuring Hey! Say! JUMP in which members risk themselves to solve the world’s biggest matters, and “Kisumai BUSAIKU!?” featuring Kis-My-Ft2 where members compete against each other in different situations to be ranked the most appealing. The two shows’ concepts will be combined, and members of both groups will compete against each other. Themes will include swimming in a pool, and also a competition in front of a live all-women audience on kissing the most ‘kakkoii’ way.

This year’s 27 Hour TV will have MCs presenting in relay style, and both groups will be participating as well. Hey! Say! JUMP’s Kei Inoo will be supporting the MC relay as part of the “27 Hour TV Festival Executive Committee”. The groups will be participating in numerous other projects as well, including “FNS National High School Super Dunk Championship” (Hey! Say! JUMP as special supporters) and “Naoto Inti Raymi 27 Hour Festival” (Kis-My-Ft2).

Regarding the collaboration with Kis-My-Ft2, Inoo commented, “I’m excited to see what kind of chemistry will form between us. We don’t have as many opportunities these days to compete with each other like this, so I’m looking forward to what could happen. Since Hey! Say! JUMP is full of ikemen (laughs), I feel like we won’t be ranked ‘busaiku’…”

Kis-My-Ft2’s Hiromitsu Kitayama added, “Since this will be the first time we’re competing with Hey! Say! JUMP, we definitely can’t lose so we’re getting pretty fired up.” Kis-My-Ft2 regularly receives strict comments from women on their show, but Kitayama joked, “I’m a little worried if Hey! Say! JUMP members’ hearts can endure receiving these kinds of comments.”
