I received my TA Blu ray (with poster... if it was exclusive to TA I don't remember) yesterday and I'm kinda disappointed with the package... There is not even a booklet in it... just a cheap credit sheet in a plastic case. I know they wanted to push us to buy to box but it shouldn't justified a cheaper standard release... cause the price wasn't much cheaper than previous releases.

That is said, the poster is nice.

Toniayu123 5th January 2017 08:27 PM

Does the box set has a proper booklet or just the photobook?

truehappiness 5th January 2017 09:21 PM

Judging from reports, it seems to be just the photobook.

Box also only has a simple sheet for the Blu-ray itself. no booklet

@YukiUsagi
Thank you so much!
It's kind of you.

May be in future no more sheet of credits, just printed on the BluRay/DVD inner sleeve in transparent case, so we can see respective personnel when we open the case.

@YukiUsagi

Thank you!

I'm willing to bet the single paper folded in half will become the new standard of insert for her DVDs and BRs

That'll be a sad day of it comes to this. North American releases have a cheap, mass-produced garbage feel to them because of this. By contrast, I've been very happy with my Ayu purchases, in no small part because of everything else you get beyond the CD/DVD/Blu-ray itself.

But an american musical Blu-ray is 4 to 5 time cheaper too. For 80$ CAD I don't think they need to save money on a booklet.

truehappiness 6th January 2017 08:02 PM

I think they're starting to skip doing 'lyric' booklets for the concerts now if recent releases are any indication. At best it will probably be a small photobooklet or the folded credits thing from now on.

Looks nice

EndOfTheWorld 7th January 2017 04:04 AM

These days, many US blu-rays come with nothing but a disc inside.:no
I remember the first time I received an Ayu blu-ray and I was nicely surprised that it came with a mini photobook with pictures from the tour and tracklisting.
I'll be disappointed if they stop doing that. I'm getting sick of these sky high prices just for a disc with a concert on it.:(

That's exactly what I'm lamenting. I like getting the physical extras that go beyond just the media. If it's only going to include a disc, I might as well purchase downloads and not take any room on my shelves (something I've strongly resisted thus far).

Just relalized after watching made in japan and kanariya, that ayu can't sing live because of her ear. Not because she can't like many people thought. This lady nails acapella beautifully.
