~Like a Circus~ Britney On Tour in her 2nd Thread.
^ but she's hot when she dances :laugh
I personally like the original MV too but I think a dance ver will be nice to watch too~ |
I know she's happy when she dances but I never potrayed her as a dancer. I couldnt care less about dance. Its britney. Enough said. She can just stand there for me :)
|
^ looks like we're on the same track ;)
|
I found it pretty boring.. and I knew that was it was overhyped like BTW :P
But yeah.. what was with the question mark at the end? Maybe a continuation? and wasn't Britney supposed to do something she never did before..? |
^ she has never punched herself, or gotten paint sprayed all over an ass-long white dress that she has never worn before too
|
I dont think she ever had such a deep message in her video.
Everytime and Piece of me are kinda on that track |
HAha can someone explain the MV coz....I LOVED IT!!,
Colorful, modern, edgy...and the dress was so damn amazing. I dunno what some of you guys were expecting from it haha..the dance?? Ok yes, I believe the dance would be very cool but I guess I could do with this too because its nothing I've ever seen before. Perhaps I have low expectations because I didn't know what to expect even.. |

It was overhyped, yes. I would've been even more impressed if she had just dropped this without the countdown, but I genuinely think she delivered with the fighting scene! |
I was entertained through the whole thing, she looked great and the paint/fight scenes were awesome. I couldn't ask for more.
The product placement, I'm used to it by now. It's expected. |
I watched the video right now and then came here... I'm really surprised about the comments... XD I absolutely love this video! I think it's very creative and as mentioned above the paint/fight scenes were awesome!

Umm you should really read things properly.
It says that you'll get the deluxe edition of the album on the release date and no you won't get instant downloads of all the songs you'll only get Hold It Against me and you can only get the premium fan edition from Britney.com |
I'm lost. What "deep message" is there behind this video? It was nice, but I don't see any deep message in it. And what story line? she sang in front of tvs, sang while dancing, and fought herself, is there a storyline to that? I personally didn't like it til the paint part started. That through the end was good. And plentyoffish.com? are you serious? lady gaga did it in her telephone video. Kesha did it in her we r who we r video and now britney? My god it makes me want to not go on plenty of fish, actually.
I didn't like the different sizes of tvs in the one scene. They were supposed to be showing all her past music videos but the only one I could actually see was baby one more time. I with the others were bigger. Also, I think the ? at the end of the video is just summarizing the entire song. "Would you hold it against me" and now that you've seen the video, at the end they finally put the ? so it's like a "Now that you witnessed it all, would you hold it against britney?" |
It was a good video (though I did get Ayumi vibes, Real me! Not that Britney would copy Ayumi, it's just an interesting observation xD ) and I think there is a message if you read more into it.
The product placement gets to me though, it's worse than Avril Lavigne's What the Hell video. |
Are people still not used to product placement? Bad Romance and Telephone just as bad.

After reading the comment on youtube :
What's meaning behind the video *Start of her career - She hit the earth like a meteor *Becoming a celebrity - She’s all glammed up putting make-up & perfume *Rising popularity - She’s rising as her old music videos surround her *She fell in love -The picture of the guy on the Sony touchscreen TV *Personal struggle - She was fighting with herself *Breakdown/Meltdown - She collapses and ruins her wedding dress & past work *Comeback - She comes back harder than ever as the Legendary Britney Spears I came to appreciate the video better ^^ If not I would just treat it as a over commercialised MV >.< (avril's WTH is the same.... =/) Quote:
watch the mv and you should probably know why ^^ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOMhN-hfMtY |
i thought Ayu fans will got the message lol
"Basically, the plot of the video is her facing her past and then moving on and embracing it. You see her rise in a white dress (symbolic of her virginal beginnings) and she's surronded by videos that critics consider her peak. A photoshop smile is on her face during that scene, showing how she had to be happy even when she wasn't. When she begins to crack, the faceless dancers are thrashing around underneath her dress and eventually break out, representing her inner demons. She then tries to destroy her pure image and all that her legacy is with the paint and she's left alone and lost (the reasoning to her in the fetal position on the ground). She then tackles her real problems had on, facing herself in what is a literal fight with herself. Soon, she learns to embrace and overcome her problems, emerging a new Britney. Notice the black dancing outfit in contract to the white one. The black represents a bruised Britney who has her battle woulds, but she'll keep on dancing and doing what she loves, better than ever." |

hmm it seems that the plentyoffish.com is a real online dating website >.<
and the guy featured in the mv is seeking a man o.O" any idea what is the message? or just another random commercial in mv thing... |
