Can you believe that its almost 2011?! I cant belive its been 3 years since they announced their hiatus! But well, you can say that L'Arc is or is very close to disbanding. When band members dont want to perform together or want to take a break you can consider them as good as disbanded. They may not disband on paper (theyre fanbase is waaay too huge for that) but I know they wont be as brilliant, even if they do come back. :(

Tetsuya will continue his solo tour in the early 2011... Seems he's not very happy with idea of coming back into Laruku. Don't know about other members plans

I'm feeling so weird right now LOL when I started to listen to Laruku and HYDE 6 years ago, I would never have thought I could be able to see him in person someday... Now I can die in peace :laugh

I'm feeling the same as you, aqua_crystal, about L'Arc though.
I don't know for the other members but HYDE looks a bit bored when he's performing with them. I think VAMPS fits better his expectations than Laruku at the moment. He looks so much more happy and full of energy :/
But I really hope they won't disband. Even if I like HYDE's solo projects, I still like Laruku the most <3

They might release few singles or album (cross fingers), re-release old album ( as dune for 10th and ray ark for 15th anniversary) and after that take a break until 2016 %)

It's just part of their protocol, I'm guessing. Singles, album, re-cut popular song. It'll sell well regardless, so why not? They know exactly how much they can get away with, I'm guessing XD.

I've never bought a re-cut single and won't start now. I'd only do it if I really loved the song but hadn't already bought the album...

The covers are... interesting. Well, its certainly better than the rest of his covers....
I still haven't heard the VAMPS album. Although everyone says its good and I know I'm missing out on A LOT, VAMPS has never caught my attention as a band I would really like to follow.

Yes he does, and for the record, they all look bored, the band obviously knew this way back in 2008 and thats why they went on hiatus.

Think of it this way, VERY few bands, whether in the US, Japan or any other part of the world for that matter, last longer than 5 years in all their glory. Then they just start to die out for various reasons. Laruku, on the other hand has lasted for almost 20 years. Thats longer than 90% of all the bands I know. Naturally, if you're gonna be together in one band for so long, you'll get bored. Thus, creating a barrier of differences between you and your band members. Laruku's no different, they're no saints that they'll be just as close to one another as they were when they started off. Their differences have become so prominent that even we, the fans, can see them whilst they perform on stage!!

My guess is that Laruku wont literally "disband", but to keep their fans happy, they'll release a single, perhaps an album here and there. But their golden era is as good as gone. I pity the new Laruku fans, who missed that wonderful era. :(
