Kanjani8 plans to do something big for their 8th anniversary

On December 16th, popular group Kanjani8 held their concert at the Tokyo Dome. The group performed 30 songs for 55,000 excited fans and they revealed that they will be holding a big event next August to commemorate their 8th anniversary.

The group began their first large dome tour at the end of November. Yokoyama Yuu (30) spoke about their big break, “In the past we couldn’t even sell-out small venues, so it’s awesome to be performing at five large domes! I guess we’ve gotten a bit more popular this year.” Murakami Shingo (29) happily chimed in, “We were able to go from three managers to four this year!”

Kanjani8 debuted in August 2004 so they will be having their 8th anniversary. Murakami commented, “We’re going to do something big.” There is expected to be some events in Tokyo and Osaka.
