As I read how everyone seems to want something different, I'm kinda worried. But as there are 3-A sides, I think there might be songs to suit all of our tastes.

Will L be somewhat like M, I wonder? I think it's going to be GRAND. Like a celebration of her own career. Why wouldn't it be? Rock ballad, but leaning more towards the ballad end of the scale I think it will be.

^I totally love M. That was gorgeous. So was the PV.

With every album, I feel like she is moving farther away from pop and closer to the rock genre. microphone, rule, talkin' 2 myself, guilty, decision. and then there are other songs that have a rock flare to them but aren't really rock like marionette, identity, and last links.

We need more pop.

Yeah.. I agree with this. If she keeps releasing a lot of rock songs unfortunately I'm probably going to have to agree with the people saying she's going downhill. I think her voice suits pop songs more too.. she always has to force her voice to be really deep in her rock songs or just scream which isn't very easy on the ears.

Soo...I don't trust anyone until I hear it myself. :D

Another Who... type ballad would be great. It's unlikely, but it would be cool if she performed all of the songs on the 50th single live instead of just picking one of them and only promoting that.

Funny conversation, Im an Ayu listener, I will enjoy whatever she puts out,
I usually hate rock but I love her rocks songs and I hate electro but I love her electro
songs. Whatever she do it will be amazing Im sure.

It was never said to sound like Who....

Look forward to it!! I already sent it to Woodstock!~RT @ayu_19980408: I am really looking forward to it, Kazubou♪RT @kazuhitokikuchi: I finished the ballad one! Send to Ayu's place~~ I wonder if it'll become Who Two?... It's only a demo, but... It's so great that I want to show it to everyone!! Even my manager, who rarely does, gives it praise!! Sorry for this being so excited....

So, let's name it how... (LOL) RT @kan_3: @kazuhitokikuchi Not two, but I think how... is better!! I really wanna listen to the new song!! Otsukaresama!!
"I wonder if it will end up becoming a Who II...?" =/= "This song sounds like Who II"

So that's what it is. Is it just me, or do these misunderstandings happen a lot? Like when the covers of You were... / BALLAD weren't out, and Ayu said something like using a slightly different approach. When they were out, some went: "Hey! She lied to us, they're not different at all!" :D That was kind of funny.

Ayu-roBeat 13 13th August 2010 05:28 AM

I'm utterly speechless... My letter! On my birthday! *faints* :thud

AyumiAi 13th August 2010 05:33 AM

I wouldn't mind another rock song as long as it was ROCK ROCK! Like Decision or Talkin 2 Myself or Marionette ( you can tell i loved GUILTY) Really i enjoy anything ayumi releases, but that would be nice, or a ballad like Jewel, Over, or Powder Snow so soft and delicate.

both songs are powerful, and slow, and the lyrics seem to form a story about something. That's generally how I differentiate what is a ballad or not. Just because they are rock genre's doesn't mean they can't be ballads.

I guess my definition of a ballad is different. =/

I don't even know what I think count down/Last Links are.. I don't think of them as rock songs or ballads.. just.. amazing songs lol.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 13th August 2010 07:19 AM

I hope it's not the same old set up for songs...

verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, chorus

I want songs where she doesn't repeat her lyrics ... like SURREAL, Far away, SEASONS, JEWEL, etc.

jbrat2219 13th August 2010 07:20 AM

When I think of ballad, I think of the actual song BALLAD (lol), HEAVEN, JEWEL, Together When... etc etc. But songs like GREEN, count down and last links don't sound like ballads to me just because they're not fast pace. I guess I think of them based on how they sound to me. GREEN = oriental, count down = rock, last links = acoustic rock...

EXACTLY. Imo that's what made some of her older songs really special, and very memorable. They were a mess, really, but so good :)

SURREAL__RAINBOW 13th August 2010 09:36 AM

I still don't think countdown is a ballad lol

anyway, I changed and preordered crossroad from yesasia... they still count towards Oricon right??

AyUmIXx 13th August 2010 10:11 AM
