ayu-michan 4th November 2013 02:10 AM

She posted it on LINE.

KuuXAyu-fan 4th November 2013 04:20 AM

Wait we are getting the Feel The Love PV short ver soon? Yay!

truehappiness 4th November 2013 04:46 AM

Probably Merry-go-round short version audio first... then Feel the love's short PV and so on.

AyuWorld 4th November 2013 09:28 AM

Agreed. This is also one of the reasons I jumped "My Queen of JPop" ships. Ayu has made some pretty epic songs, but I find that they are all within a certain sound. She does try out other sounds, but they are never as good as what she does in her comfort zone. I really appreciate that she tried out R&B on FIVE, I do. But, there are so many other amazing R&B JPop songs out there, its like, why listen to Ayu's attempt?

I personally like Ayu's R&B songs a lot. She has taken the genre and made it more like her and I love that. To me her R&Bish songs has always been in Top 20 of my favorite Ayu songs to date and it's a shame that there's not so much of those in her discography. I really think the genre fits her very well. :)

I agree. I honestly think that Real Me sounds something m-flo could've done with Ayu's touch

Zeke. 4th November 2013 12:25 PM

Didn't ayu mention that merry go round would be available right after feel the love was uploaded? That was like weeks ago.

True that. WE WISH and ourselves sound like their songs in my ears too. :D

njanjayrp 4th November 2013 03:29 PM

I wouldn't mind another song like Real me :D WE WISH had a CREA feel to it. Doesn't really sound like an m-flo song to me.

Both songs turned out so cool!!

I'm gonna upload「Merry-go-round」on YouTube at some point, so stay tuned!

ayu
It has been almost two weeks (13 days) since the Feel the love upload with the "look out for Merry-go-round" thing being said about a day or two after the upload. They probably want to space it out so that they don't end up sticking everything on YouTube at once.

We should probably get it this week or next week though if they want to be able to stick the short PV up as well at some point in late November/December.

Oh, I thought we were saying like, posted it online somewhere. Lol I'm guessing that LINE is some social network or something.

Really? I'm listened to my fair share of m-flo, and heard what verbal has done with other artists like crystal kay, boa, double, minmi, sowelu, namie, and miliyah. I can't imagine ayu's music sounding anything like that.

fairygirl 4th November 2013 08:29 PM

I can't wait to hear merry go round :D I like mflo and I like the songs they made with other artists :)

Oh and I hope the covers will look great :D

This is exactly what Ayu posted on LINE about Merry-go-round Youtube preview:

She posted it on 23 October. But she didn't say "soon", she said "at some point"

Edit: Sorry, I was a bit blind, didn't see that it was posted just a couple of posts above :D

adantatu2 5th November 2013 12:54 AM

At some point of December, maybe :)

Isicio 5th November 2013 02:50 AM

Yes I think December too or final November

Uemarasan 5th November 2013 06:34 AM

Well, the song sounds pretty run-of-the-mill. Not great, not bad. Just somewhere in the middle. It would have been nice if she found a way to pick up from the sound of Tell All, which I thought promised a more interesting direction. I hope her next single has a lot more oomph.

I agree with the other posters. This one suffers because of the production. Again, it's catchy, but it seems to lack a certain depth in the instrumentation and melody departments. I think Ayu's more upbeat music is usually at its best with a lot of density. In the end, though, I am glad that this might be a sign that she'll be releasing singles again. Her music really improves in that release format.

Honestly, barely anything in music these days is drawing my interest (well, maybe Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Superfly). That's all right, I think. I don't constantly need new music, as older music is still perfectly serviceable and there's a lot to discover from the past.

truehappiness 5th November 2013 07:26 AM

It's the combo of Komuro and a new 'producer/arranger', I guess? If Yuta or tasuku were on this, it'd probably have more depth. Why have DJ Hello Kitty on this!?! haha.
