Of course I will listen all my loBely's opinions anytime. But thing is that you all haven't seen the real ending yet. Don't worry ;)" |

i like it, its very silly and cute. Fits the song as well :)

Me just sitting in the corner petting an imaginary Ayu, hoping she's not hurt from the pure hate because she's so small and dear to me.
And that confirms it then, there's an actual ending! I personally don't like it when Ayu uses the media too much lol... Like you know how K-pop is, their songs and MVs are all over Youtube. But if Ayu starts to do that, I kind of feel like her sales are going to be even worse. *flips through twitter and reads poop about the Queen* |

I never doubted her~ Quote:
It's sort of sad that she had to explain herself, really. |

It's an inside joke from before with her overseas fans back in 2010.
I am thinking Aura or someone from that group of fans that tweeted with her often must have tweeted her about it. She made the typo of 'loBely' at one point and it stuck. They also joked around about Vampire Ayu at one point too. |
it's sweet of her that she has to explain about the PV.. wow it's the first time i think?
and she never forgot the "LoBely"! haha~ i know ayu will never disappoint us and no way she'd bring bad msg out. |

in the end i think deep stuff in a shallow manner is not for people to understand , this world is taking everything as they see, none tries to give it a bit of a thought before saying anything and even if do very few only. |

Also she single-handedly confirmed almost everything people speculated about the PV. |
Can someone explain the loBely joke for me? I'm lost lol.
And aww man, there goes the feeling of accomplishment when you figure out the meaning of an Ayu PV. |
Yeah...
It looks like it was Aura who was the one who triggered this. http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1rsf9jf Ayu only ever really uses loBely for that specific circle (I think usually the fans from Spain), though it tends to be used for 'all overseas fans' on Twitter. |
Drama is all...
|
i think ayu did a typo for lovely right? then she just kept on using it because it sounded funny.
now i really can't wait for the rest of the PV.. need it now.. |
I don't think that fans are overreacting, the way the video was put together was visibly triggering and offensive to some people, even if it wasn't ayu's idea or intention.
Now I'm very excited to see the full ver. of the PV! I hope it's amazing and there's a nice twist to it. |
I do think they chose a horrible cutoff point. (like the absolute worst cutoff for a video like this because it changes the meaning entirely)
However, I think people should have known Ayu had something more to this video's message than "look thin to get the guy". |
sensitive world we live in or should i say shallow? cuz none really sees bechind the cheap outside lol
I guess from now on she will have to plaster the explanations on her works so NONE GETS OFFENDED...*rolleyes* on the other hand, avex needs to get their shit together as well, if you upload sHORT VERSION, then STATE SO the second you upload it, not a aday later >_> |

And it's a shallow world. Plus if we're just normal people who don't know who Ayumi Hamasaki is, we would probably assume that it's offending and morally wrong anyway. I just think it depends on how much you actually understand Ayu's works up until now. |
I asked a friend who is not at all a fan of J-Pop to watch the video. First, she didn't even want to finish watching it because she found it boring, but she also said that she felt that the audience is supposed to laugh at the girl, not with her. She also said that the final scene looks like the "boyfriend" wanted nothing to do with her when she was "fat" and only wanted her after she looked like Ayu. Overall, she found it offensive.
I really hope that the long version of this PV lends strength to Ayu's description of what the message of this PV is supposed to be. I have to say, the fact that she has to explain herself, like she did with the Party Queen covers, coupled with my friend's reaction to the PV, just screams poor execution, imo. Needing two versions of a video to explain its meaning? Ayu fans are dramatic, and I really don't think that this video is a reason to stop being her fan or the "worst video ever", but I don't think that the message was totally clear. I'm really praying for this long version to explain things so people can stop crying that Ayu's career is over. |
The message is definitely not clear. But at the same time, if you're looking at it with a negative mind-set all you're going to see are the flaws. What I saw was a beautiful, confident, funny woman. The ending certainly raised questions for me but as a fan of ayu for over 10 years, I know what she's about. And she is not about body-shaming or shallowness, so why accuse her of such?
It just shows how much of a fan one is not if they quickly turn on her because they take offense to a video. Instead of rushing to judgement, take a look at who its coming from and the kind of messages she's been spreading for years and ask yourself if she is truly a person to make a mockery of someone who is overweight in a music video. |
