Am I the only one who absolutely LOVES "On Your Side"? Damn flawless song.

I always thought On Your Side was one of the fan favorites from Bon Voyage other than the intro/interlude :laugh A lot of people thought the best part of the album was from Dreaming On! onwards iirc.

Out of curiosity: Do you guys know the COME WITH ME PV was shot? Was it Japan or elsewhere? There are some guys speaking a language I cant recognize in the beginning, but still I'm not sure...

x-megumi-x 9th May 2014 08:40 PM

^ I'm not 100% sure about it, but I watched the making of a while ago and I believe it was shot in Thailand :)

Yeah, I prefer too her past urban influenced songs, even if I don't find the actual ones so badly done. But she just had this way of killing that style at that time.
Her cute songs, instead, are ALWAYS a hit or miss for me. She either can be irresistibly cute or a grown woman that sounds like she's parroting a highschool girl.
But I don't have preferences for her styles... I think she's a lot like Ayu, she can jump from and to every kind of song. It depends on the song, not the genre.

This!

Her urban songs were the best but her dance songs are killer too. I mean TABOO, ECSTASY, Driving, UNIVERSE, POP DIVA, Lay Down etc are all amazing.

emi♡ 10th May 2014 08:50 PM

I prefer them tbh because I feel like they have her best mixture of sounds, to where they don't just sound like songs you can throw at anyone.

Like LOL. Who else can do that song and still have it be as fun.

I do feel like she has less of these songs lately. I don't mind as much though. As long as I have one song from an album I really like, I'm just fine. I was never a huge fan of her albums from start to finish, track after track.

For Japonesque I feel like she spread herself the thinnest though, doing like every genre on one album, but for Bon Voyage she condensed it back down to songs that are similar.

They recorded DVD yesterday at Kobe show.
It was quite fun!

Did she say anything about a new song?
Hope you had a good time :)

Darkifrit 11th May 2014 04:49 AM

^ Not really. She just said how soon she will start her 15th anniversary and how she is happy as an artist now bla bla bla...

She was cute during the talk. In encore part she sang Megumi no Hito but was afraid to do the choreo because she wears a hat.
The hall was full.
There were plenty of cosplays yesterday (even one boy with SMYH outfit!!), this make me think that she may not appeals young generations anymore but her fan base is still quite strong imo (people are over 25yo mainly).

Gustavopc 11th May 2014 02:28 PM

^ Enying you so much!! :D That's an early recording for the video release of the tour, I guess it should be released earlier than JAPONESQUE Tour was then. WOWOW could broadcast it as well, I wouldn't mind at all :laugh

I really really hope they don't just toss BRING IT ON as a summer single. We've had the song for months now and I'll be super annoyed if they do that. Hope it just ends up as a bonus track somewhere...

happiholic★ 13th May 2014 01:36 AM

I must make it a point to look at the crowds in her concerts. Now that she's not popular anymore, I'm wondering what the hardcore Kuu fans look like these days. If they are the over 25 crowd, no wonder Kuu's latest album had a lack of cute songs. Her fanbase is aging.

Is it the first time DVD not included new single's song:irked?
why did they film it so quickly, almost always choose the final round of tour, isn't it?

Next week at Kanagawa's show, i'll be there.

Gustavopc 14th May 2014 02:21 AM

I also think it's a bit early to record it... I wonder if they want to release it as a part of that 15th anniv. project d: And about new songs, maybe BRING IT ON will be on the next single, like Got To Be Real was the only post-UNIVERSE song performed at UNIVERSE Tour

I thoguht about that possibility,too.

I think there is a high chance we get a summer single with BRING IT ON as a first press bonus song!!:yes

Did I miss something? Is BRING IT ON a b-side or recently released digital single? O.o I've never heard of it.

BRING IT ON was first performed more than a half year ago, a bit after Summer Trip came out, I guess, but she has not released it yet
