Here's the link as I am having trouble embedding the video (I can never remember how to do it) Hitomi no Juunin So happy to finally see his performance. Hyde has also been uploading clips of new music to Instagram. One of which people are commenting is a new version of Midnight Celebration but tbh I can't remember how that song sounds. It's been forever since I listened to 666. I hope an album announcement is coming soon! |

HYDE to release new solo single after 12 years
L’Arc~en~Ciel and VAMPS frontman HYDE will be releasing a brand new solo single, his first in 12 years! His last solo effort was the 2006 single “Season’s Call”, it was an instant success reaching #1 on the Oricon weekly charts. His new single is titled “WHO’S GONNA SAVE US?“, it will be his 8th single overall. Besides the main title track, a b-side titled “MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION II” will be included. It’s a rearranged version of the track “MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION”, originally included on his 2nd studio album “666”. “WHO’S GONNA SAVE US” will hit store shelves on June 27th, 2018. A limited edition version will be available that comes with a DVD and 12 page booklet in the shape of a 7 inch square. HYDE (L'Arc~en~Ciel) Will Release First Solo Single In More Than 12 Years
HYDE, vocalist of L'Arc~en~Ciel and VAMPS, announced the release of his first single since 2006. The single is titled "WHO'S GONNA SAVE US" and will drop already this month - on June 27th! The lead track is a harder rock song and the topic is about fighting pain all alone when nobody is there to give you a helping hand. The other song that you can find on the single is titled "MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION II" and it's a rearranged version of "MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION" that has already been performed at VAMPS' lives. The Limited Edition for 3024 Yen comes with a concept book while the Regular Edition for 1296 Yen is CD-only. "WHO'S GONNA SAVE US" will be the first single of HYDE as a solo artist since the release of "SEASON'S CALL" in February 2006. Saw a video pop up on YouTube yesterday about Hyde choosing his "best" song and he chose...Flower!
I love this song so happy he chose it! It's my favourite L'Arc song although when I first heard it I assumed it was a Ken composition. I thought he would have chosen a rock song so impressed with his choice. |
Finally watched the Who's Gonna Save Us PV! Whilst the PV is a little cheesy I am loving the song although I do find it a bit on the short side. I keep expecting one last chorus!
Looking forward to buying the single on iTunes next week although I need another single announcement or something already! At least we have Tetsuya's new single coming up soon. |

I realised the video qualities that Vevo upload don't tend to be that good & somemore they don't seem to be region confine
Yes hyde & Tetsuya solo releases are both released under Universal . I wonder why L'arc don't plan to change record labels cos it's annoying that the videos that Sony Japan upload , only those living in Japan can watch I don't get it . Other Sony Japan artistes also have Vevo YouTube accounts such as SID , Shimizu Shota |
Yeah, the L'Arc FB and Twitter always want to promote the band to us yet we can't watch the videos they upload?
