That's a cultural shock I consider rather easy to avoid, but at the same time it's one someone isn't willing to avoid haha I mean, to sit and shut the whole concert seems like not a difficult task, but at the same time you came from the other side of the world to see someone and can't even sing along? Haha
|
Well, I much more prefer to just watch & listen tbh. I can always sing a long when she wants us to but why listen to my own voice when I can hear her live. But that's matter of opinion I suppose! I just can't imagine being there and singing songs like FLOWER for example xD
If you decide to do so though, then be considerable as mentioned above. If you do, tell us how Japanese people reacted though xD |
As I know few ayumi's lyrics I'd probably be quiet most of the concert lmao
but when it comes to BoA, Utada and Namie, whose lyrics I know by heart, I won't control myself, I'm pretty sure haha But I guess the fans' reactions won't change whether it's an Ayumi or BoA concert haha I will tell you as soon as I know haha |
There's also the "option" to sing loudless, if you can't hold it back...
...and nobody could hear you pronouncing the lyrics wrong! ;) |

[Edit] I appreciate the cultural differences. That's why I'm saying Ayu's nowhere near any of these, despite perhaps "pushing the edge" by different standards. |
By y'all standards I'm starting to think Koda Kuni is a gospel singer, then.
Regarding the concert: Chris85 that's what I was afraid haushauys |
I hate it in general when ppl sing along so I am glad nobody does at Ayu concerts. (Exept for songs like Boys&Girls when itīs wanted)
I had that once at a musical and I was close to punch that girl in her face, srsly >< I go to a concert/musical to enjoy the show and not to have someone sing crooked tones beneath me. I love to sing along my fave songs... but in the car, or under the shower were I donīt bother other ppl. |
I think you people are overreacting a bit. It depends of the type of concert you attend. Of course in a musical it's bad to sing along but in a pop-rock concert?
I've been in different type of concerts like Ayu or Lady Gaga and in most of them people are singing. It's not like you are screaming in someone's ear but hearing 15,000 people sing Bad Romance is totally a experience. I was at Ayu's Osaka show last summer and I sang almost the whole concert, and it was totally fine, and my boyfriend even danced and sang with the japanese girl who was in front of us. But the girl next to me (japanese too) was screaming "Midori" everytime Midori showed up. She was annoying, not me. People can be bothered everywhere. Not necessarily for being japanese. Just have fun. Anyway when you are there, you read the atmosphere and figure out what you can and can't do :) |
In Europe, people sing and scream all the time during the concert. They compete who will be louder :D. I'm used to it.
It's very strange to be quiet all the time. When I watched her concert for the first time, I wondered why nobody was singing. I later found out why. |

Yeah i know concerts in Europe are different. I was at One OK Rock concert last December and stayed in the back because of that. But I was nearly squeezed when I tried to buy a shirt after the concert o.o I definatly prefer concerts in Japan xD |
If I was to go to a concert in Japan, I would want to respect the Japanese way of doing things. Reading the air is important in Japan. I believe in Japan it is considered rude to be rowdy during a performance.

I could barely breathe on the concerts. That's why I always choose grandstand.

I wasn't thinking of screaming the whole concert because my voice would vanish within 2, 3 songs hahah I was talking about singing more to myself and stuff hahha I guess you all thought I was speaking of screaming xD (I mean, there are songs we feel like screaming - I would in appears, for example Hahaha - but I don't feel like keeping my mouth shut for 2 hours haha and thank you yabieru for your comment haha I feel relieved!
BTW, who the hell sing along at a musical???? |
I personally would prefer the Japanese style. Concerts over here can get way too crazy for my taste. I love how civilized it is over there.:laugh
I also would much rather see uchiwas and light sticks than an ocean of phones in the air. |
