I'm a little bitter about this.

The non music activities must have taken up a lot of Mika's time from the 2nd 1/2 of the year onwards until now

Jikou Keisatsu Hajimemashita drama Twitter wrote that the last time Mika appeared in a TV Asahi drama was 2003 o_O

I mean, it's inevitable, but still a little sad. I still remember being a little confused when Ayu started slowing down after L. And again when it became clear in late 2017 Ayu wasn't going to be releasing new music anytime soon.

At the same time, I also don't want to see cheap and uninspired PVs, covers, etc. because MIKA can't get the same budget anymore.

Double-edge sword. I want it, but I don't want it if it's not up to MIKA's standards. And she's 20 years in at this point, so I should start to accept that eras like VOICE just aren't a thing anymore.

It's just that it's been so damn good. And even when it wasn't great, it was still worth paying attention to. She's been one of the most unique J-Pop experiences for me. And she's really good at reggae!

It's funny, Mika is one of the most active female soloists, aren't you into Yuna Ito, Ami Suzuki, OLIVIA, Anna Tsuchiya? They don't release things in years :tired that's frustrating

@ orbitalaspect - I know what you mean . I've supported Mika for a really long time , for almost 15 years now and even I can see in recent years her music material has not been on par if not as good as her previous works

TOUGH is evident cos I don't really like the album & the barely new material in the record was pretty bad

I don't know if Mika's different wide range of releases that she started doing from 2014 onwards til now affected this . On 1 hand she's putting out different type of releases that other artiste don't have in their catalogue

But on the other hand , some of the releases , it's not exactly winning new fans but from a business's standpoint , it will sell

Yuki no Hana 15 Shuunen Kinen Best-ban BIBLE sold considerably well for a Winter release

That said , I have no idea how much say Mika has over such releases . I for 1 still feel some of them should not have been released in the 1st place even though the photos that were used of Mika were and are still gorgeous
