The Japanese print will certainly not have English subtitles.

However, I believe the "Kurosagi" drama has been licensed for American distribution. If that goes over well, they will probably license the film as well.

Hmm, I thought that the drama was licensed but couldn't find it in a Google search. I must've gotten it mixed up with the manga license? I have no idea. In any case, unless it gets licensed by an American company, the DVD will not have English subtitles. You can go find fansubs, though.

ll moments ll - The coaster calendar is so interesting! I don't remember reading any pre-order descriptions of it so it caught me off guard. It's pretty cute and I found it funny that on one news report, they said it'd go over well with university students! LOL.

if they release it in America, it will def. have English subs... but for some reason, i don't think it will... itz not that big... >.< I'll just have to watch it online w/ fansubs lol

Some japanese DVDs do have english subs : Sakuran, UNFAIR, Limit Of Love -umizaru- etc...
So there's still hope =)

But anyway, someone will probably make subs for this movie <3 If not, I'll make them myself LOL ~

200+k is really good, i mean, yeah it's not close to Arashi or KAT-TUN, but "Taiyou no Namida" is going to have one of the highest 1st week sales so far this year(3rd place).

and NEWS has never had the sales success of Arashi & KAT-TUN. i don't think you can compare their successes with NEWS. they've been in the business a longer time than NEWS (Arashi debut in '99. KAT-TUN formed in '01). they're babies in comparison to those 2!

but, i'm sure NEWS will have success. it will just take time. :)
