I've seen Utada mentioned in BoA's thread many times due to comparisons between their English Albums so it can't hurt here I suppose. You'd almost feel like you were rubbing it in or something if a bunch of Utadans went over into the BoAan's Thread asking about sale numbers when we know they weren't that good.

It makes her look like she's pregnant ^^; Noes? ^^; She's HYPER pretty in that picture and I even forgive her wearing sneakers there (I actually want to wear everything she wears XD ) but just that hand and .. It was hard to wait, but times passed by pretty quickly if you asked me ^^ For her next single, pretty sure she'll take an upbeat song and then follow with either Apple&Cinnamon or This One. It isn't like her to be releasing two ballad singles in a row for a (second) debut. She's one of these artists that can handle a lot of different styles, and wants to show of. Btw.. Something I really wondered. This thread is about Utada, but the comparison will make it safe for me to be asking this I think ^^ Utada talks about herself being more of a producer/songwriter than a performer. Could it be that BoA loves performing more than singing/producing? When she just dances, she looks happy to me. When she sings, she looks always less relaxed to me ^^; Wonder what you guys think about it ^^; |

BoA's Album has been released physically and digitally. Utada's has only been released digitally. I don't see why some people don't consider this difference relevant but it is.
Billboard counts physical and digital sales. And BoA's sale numbers still weren't all that good which was all that I was saying. |

So I was browsing AHS and then my cousin calls and says she wants me to go out of town with her cause she has to drop a friend off. Being it was 1 in the morning I just grabbed my sweatshirt and hopped in the car. The way there and back then radio was on the local station.
On the way back we decided to stop at Jack In the Box as we hadn't' had dinner and it was the only place open. Were sitting in the car and all of the sudden Hikaru's voice comes out the speakers... I screamed. "Omg they're playing a Hikki song on the Radio!" and my cousin was like "what?" then i explained that, Hikki is the one I want to go see in San Fransisco. Yay. Too bad it was 1:52 in the morning. Strangely enough, when Utada was working on/releasing Heart Station, and the rumors of another American album started, I was more excited for the American release than the Japanese. Now that TITO is out, I really cannot wait for her new Japanese works... So, the saying is true; You always want what you "can't" get...

just a random rant: i just recently got into her song "This One (Crying Like A Child)" after reviewing the lyrics. i could totally relate to 90% of the song (due to the lines independent woman and living on my own, aint true with me, hahaha.)
