Acid Black Cherry to release album his, ‘2012′, in Asia

It’s been reported that Acid Black Cherry will be releasing his 3rd album, ‘2012‘, in three Asian countries!

‘2012′ ranked in at number one on Oricon’s April 2nd Weekly Album Rankings, making it yasu’s first time topping the Oricon charts in his 13 years of major activities. The album will be released in Taiwan and Hong Kong on April 13th and in South Korea on the 19th.

Acid Black Cherry will also be kicking off his nationwide tour on May 1st. A portion of tickets went on sale on April 7th and was sold out in several minutes. Tickets for his arena performances in July will go on sale on the 21st.

It’s been revealed that Acid Black Cherry’s “Yes” will be the theme song to the short drama, ‘Re:dream‘!

“Yes” is a track off of Acid Black Cherry’s 3rd album, “2012“, which topped the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking for the first time. ‘Re:dream’ was inspired by this song, and will air on BeeTV and other video distributing sites.

‘Re:dream’ will be directed by Fukagawa Yoshihiro, who’s also been in charge of ‘Byakuyakou‘ and ‘Kamisama no Karute‘. It will star Sometani Shota, the first Japanese actor to win the “MARCELLO MASTROIANNI AWARD” for the movie, ‘Himizu‘, at the ‘68th Venice International Festival‘. Alongside Sometani, the movie will star Kurashina Kana, Tabata Tomoko, and Kojima Kazuya.

Director Fukugawa commented, “I felt the theme and power in this song, and my worldview for video expanded. I materialized that and made a drama inspired by the song. I would be happy if those who watch it will like it.”

The drama is set in a mysterious world where you can’t tell the difference between dreams and reality. Sometani expressed, “It’s a strange fantasy. I had so much fun playing my role, so please enjoy it.”

‘Re:dream’ will be distributed through BeeTV starting April 18th. It will then be gradually released through other video distributing sites.

oh of course , here're some pointers taken from the clip

in the beginning yasu was saying that he hopes everyone in Taiwan will receive 2012 warmly

later part of the clip , yasu was quoted as saying ...

- he never expected he would have fans that're living outside of Japan
- with advanced technology , he's able to interact & keep in touch with fans easily
- he said that outta the 7 singles included in 2012 , Chou is his fave
- Chou is written from a girl's perspective just like Black Cherry . He enjoyed shooting the PV for Chou
- for some odd reason before they moved onto the next question , yasu said he's straight & he doesn't like guys lmao o_O xD
- his 1st impression of Taiwan - a lot of pretty ladies xD
- he himself know a few Taiwanese peeps o_o
- Given an opportunity , he would love to perform in Taiwan !

lmao I was like ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh when he mentioned about it xD

you know I frankly don't care if he's gay or something but the very fact that he mentioned he doesn't like guys but end up writing/singing songs that're written from a girl's perspective , I couldn't help but wonder :P

for me eh I'm indifferent , he could be gay or straight it doesn't really bother me at all x)

I read a lot of interviews and such stuff with yasu, so that he's straight wasn't new to me, 'cos he seems to love to talk about sex a lot... xD

i don't care if he is gay, the music is what i like from ABC
