I honestly can say that I was really surprised when I listened to COLOURS , it's very experimental unlike Journey

for me I don't mind as Shota's willing to take risks in his music

with that said I can't wait for my CD + DVD copy of COLOURS to arrive soon <3

my fave part of the CD sleeves booklet is that for the writing/composing credits for each song , they used a different colour for each which's so cool

& in the offshot booklet , it's quite cute & I guess Shota can't draw to save his life ? :laugh

you have to hand in to Shota for writing/composing almost everything in COLOURS :O except for 2/3 songs in the record

And 2 of those songs he didn't write, are just covers anyway. Impressive.

Shimizu Shota, Choshinsei, Becky♪♯, and others participate in United Nations charity event

“Friends of the United Nations Asia-Pacific”, a non-profit organization based in the Asia Pacific region, will hold a charity aid event fifty days after the day of the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake on April 28th and 29th, and it will be entitled, “Friend’s Whistle! Act for Tomorrow!”, featuring Shimizu Shota, Choshinsei, and Becky♪♯ among others at Pacifico Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture.

The inspiration behind the name of the event, “Friend’s Whistle!”, comes from the idea that a whistle is an effective tool for alerting others that an individual is in danger or is still alive, and it is therefore a reassuring thing to have.

With the hope that music will be a force that encourages positive, forward thinking, “Friend’s Whistle!” will accept donations of CD players, portable music players, instruments, and so on, in addition to monetary contributions, all of which will be passed on to the affected regions.

“Friend’s Whistle” will feature performances by Park Jung Min of SS501 on the 28th, and Shimizu Shota, Choshinsei, Becky♪♯, and JYONGRI on the 29th. Other participants will be announced in the near future.

MTV reveals nominees for “MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN”

MTV Japan has just revealed the nominees for its “MTV VIDEO MUSIC AID JAPAN” awards!

The results were tallied based on votes sent by viewers to Viacom. Further voting for the winners in each category will be revealed at a later date, allowing fans to vote for their favorites for each individual award.

Instead of the usual awards ceremony, MTV has decided to hold a charity event at Makuhari Messe Event Hall on June 25th, with all proceeds donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society as earthquake relief funds.

Idol group AKB48 will serve as the MCs for the event, with artists like Lady Gaga, Nishino Kana, EXILE, BENI, w-inds, and more scheduled to perform.
