^yeah! I was going to say that! If she already new the title since that interview, that means tht first dys of Deember she ws already working on it... work on an album doesn't mean only recording... she has to select songs and write are the lyrics, and thats before the recording process... so what it's more important that is the creation was before london... and she not only talked about an album, in her entries she said that she was really busy because WHILE rehearsing for CDL she was creating a new album...
so yeah... I would say 2 months for music and lyrics, and this 2 last weeks recording songs, PV and photoshoots (as well as this week) Maybe after this week she will start making shoots for magazines and so ^^ |
I started this thread one week ago and I was already foaming at the mouth for some kind of announcement then. Everytime I log on with no news I find myself cursing Ayu (although I know it is not her fault) and avex. Lol. :headache
This album should be a good one... hopefully! |
^ like really. waiting is unbearable :(
|
I wouldn't mind if there's only 14 tracks...but it would be nice if Sunset and RED LINE are NOT on the album (although it's more likely that Sunset will, but I think there's a chance that RED LINE won't).
14 tracks (just based on her last few albums...I would prefer 15) 1 intro 2 interludes You were..., BALLAD, Sunrise 8-9 new songs. THAT would be amazing. lol and please not 4 different types again...just CD and CD+DVD ... I don't feel like working lots of OT...lol |
at this moment I'm not sure if multiple versions would helps her or not... you know... if people buy a lot of versions more copies will be count... but maybe with ayu peopel get tired of it.. or sth... @.@
|
all i need is an album name. come on ayu LOL

Yes, when something ayu releases there are more choices rather a lot buying few versions and it helps sales to some extent. For example kuu's 3 SPLASH had 3 versions but yet sold less than her It's all Love! single which had 2 (and FC version but this one was only for her fanclub). ayu's NEXT LEVEL sold less than her previous albums and it didn't really sell close to at least GUILTY. kuu's BEST ~third universe~ has 3 versions (and a fanclub one and one that's being sold in shidax stores) and yet it might sell like her last album or a bit above it, but that's most likely thanks to that fact that it has a best album in it and not more versions than her previous album which had 2. ayu's You were.../BALLAD is another example. It might sell just like 6000-7000 copies above Sunrise/Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~. If enough people or a lot of people would really buy more than 2 (or even more than just 1 version) they sales should be higher in like 20,000-50,000 copies at least to see that it actually helped in the manner of multiple version and not by the manner that some people got interested from the choice of all the versions (ending up buying just 1 or 2 if at all). Multiple versions does help a lot to boybands since a lot of her fans claim and are popular for buying a lot of multiple versions or all the versions. But with female artists at least it seems that it stopped being popular to buy all the versions from the side of a lot of fans/people on recent years. For boybands it's really working again and again but for females it's kind of stopped. (At least being really helpful) If multiple versions for ayu (or other females) would really worth a + of a big increase in sales then they would sell like the boybands or at least close to an extent. |
^ Yeah, multiple versions only result in a significant boost in sales if the artist has obsessive fans... Which, obviously, the only artists who consistently have fans that could be considered obsessive are the boybands. Because, with obsessive fans - "fangirls"/"fanboys" :P - there's a high chance that they'll always buy at least two versions, if not all (whether 'all' comes out to three versions or five, it doesn't matter--if they're willing to buy two or three, what's another one or two?). Also, of course, these types of fans will at least buy every single and album that's put out, no matter what.
Not to say that artists like Kuu or Ayu never have fans who buy more than one version, but it's definitely more rare. |
i miss her technoish music. "sparkle so does not count". I wish she would do something similar to her I am... era. Connected♥
The only song I like so far is you were, but if her other songs were on it, that wouldn't really bother me. as long as "as a whole" the album is good. I feel like I'm the only one not jumping out of my seat to hear some news about this new album. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...ilingnails.gif |
^ Yeah, techo would be awesome! :D I really have high hopes for this album...Oh please, Ayu, we need news!!!! D: I'm dying here...XD
|
^Yes I miss the techno... and the remixes. We did get ayu-mi-x GOLD/SILVER though.
I wonder what the overall theme/tone for this album will be? |

As far as the techno album goes, I think it's a pretty safe bet this album will have little techno on it. However, if she were to release ayu trance as someone here suggested, that would be most welcomed. :yes I think GOLD&SILVER did a fare enough job to warrant at least consideration for more remix albums. |
I wasn't really talking about a remix album *although i actually like gold/silver* I meant an album that's technoy. Guilty is rockish, next level is video gameish, I am is the most technoy next to loveppears. I would love some upcoming album to be technoy like how her music was years ago.
|
^ I know, like I said, I doubt it will happen. Her singles would be so out of place. Not like that stopped Days or GREEN xD; But we'll see.

I'm either gonna be EXTREMELY happy with this album or really disappointed again. There's not going to be any in between with me because of how I went from totally indifferent expecting a NEXT LEVEL pt. II to super optimistic expecting an album like an updated MY STORY. :dead2 |

^ Ugh, if it's like Secret, my second least favourite behind LOVEppears, I will be so sad. :( But you know, I also have a feeling it will be similar, so that's why I'm honestly kinda 'meh' about the new album. :shrug Sunrise/Sunset are okay, but I don't like BALLAD at all and I've already gotten tired of RED LINE. However, I LOVE You were..., and Microphone seems really awesome, so I'll at least be excited now when the album comes out... But despite all that, as long as there's at least two other songs that blow me away like You were... does, I'll be satisfied. (Like how I'm still satisfied with LOVEppears because of kanariya alone, or with Secret because of Startin', 1 LOVE and Beautiful Fighters. :heart)
|
If it's anywhere close to being as awesome as Secret I will be happy. That's one of my favorite ayu albums.
|
How can you get tired of RED LINE?! That's like saying you're tired of Who... or MY ALL! It's impossible!
I'm so scared that the reception of this album will be as split between love/hate as the last few albums. Hopefully people aren't too quick to judge and listen to the album enough times when it leaks/releases so that they don't simply say it's her worst work ever. From my experience, Ayu's albums have always been growers. And also, I don't want sales drama happening, haha. "Oh no! She was 80k on the first day and now she's 40k!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" |
The only expectation I can bring myself to have of her is that she remains true in her lyrics. And that's an expectation I doubt she'd fail to meet, just because that seems to be her main grip on who she is.
"Yes, there has been some 'bad' tunes, but bad according to whom?" < It's like that, right? Some of us love Bold & Delicious*, some of us think it's hideous. So, I say have your likes and dislikes, have your heart breaks over disappointing albums or ignored expectations. All that matters is how you feel, so who cares what the other fans think, hm? (I'm looking at you, Truehappiness. ;)) *random example, not reflective of my likes or dislikes. XD |
