(glancing at it quickly) Females choose other females singers/actresses who have the most power/strength/ability. First list is singers, second list is actresses. Good list I must say :)

kayokyokufan 24th May 2011 03:03 AM

Props to Namie for being voted #1 on this list. On a side note, I think it's pretty cool that Kou Shibasaki made it on both lists.

Wow! She's #2 for the week again. I was guessing she'd be 3 or 4.

kayokyokufan 24th May 2011 05:33 PM

Checkmate! managed to move up to #2 for the day with 2,410 copies sold. Lady Gaga's new album is totally dominating right now with about 45,000 copies sold.

Minttulatte 24th May 2011 06:55 PM

Good that Namie's album does well on the charts. :) I'm happy for Gaga too. <3

Earth_maiden 24th May 2011 07:17 PM

I only want to buy Checkmate! for the first three songs on the album. But those 3 songs are just that good that its worth it. Just waiting on a few more pays so I can afford it... :innocent

JackieRos 24th May 2011 07:19 PM

2 wow wow

kayokyokufan 24th May 2011 07:49 PM

I wonder when we're gonna hear what the 3rd song is on the new single is. I'm also wondering what the big tie in will be. I'm gonna take a guess that it'll be the theme song to a show.

Celaphorce 24th May 2011 08:18 PM

I wonder when we're gonna find out the setlist for her tour...glad she's at #2 though, her consistency definitely shows if she can get away with releasing a collab album, where the majority of the songs were previously released to begin with, then she can handle anything, Ahhhh I love when my favorite artist pulls through.

Not Fade Away 24th May 2011 08:40 PM

I actually LOVE Fight Together, which is surprising to me because usually I don't like bubble-gum JPop, and Fight Together is a little more along those lines (though not completely). I think the theme is very fitting and hopeful for what is going on in Japan right now.

Also, I really wouldn't be surprised if 'Check Mate!' hit the 500k mark. Ever since 'Play' was released, Namie's music has been extremely successful once again.

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that she has been able to dominate again the past few years like she did at the beginning of her career. She has such an amazing voice, and I'm glad Japan has recognized that once again. I won't lie though -- I'm waiting for another Rainbow Moon or Wagamama wo Yurushite, cause her vocals were stellar haha.

Or another Wishing on the Same Star/I Will...

Sooooooooo goooooooood

hearted 24th May 2011 08:44 PM

^ or Never End!!!! i would seriously looooooove another song like that :luv2 :luv2

Not Fade Away 24th May 2011 08:52 PM

^ So true, another 'Never End' would be really appropriate right now too. :o)
