The song was good until they started singing. From then on everything went downhill. I came to like Hoot, but I can't see myself starting to like this. It will sell physically well bc it's SNSD, but the digital sales won't match Oh!.

From what I've heard so far of the album tracks, I like "Trick" the most, but the rest is rather boring.

Edit: Track 7-11 are better too.

I am giving props to the vocalists of THE BOYS. (Taeyeon, Jess, Seohyun)
its apparent how they divided the lines for the stronger singers and those not. Pity Tiff didnt sing...probably because she was already rapping from months ago...:/

IA with all of this. It was fine when this was f(x)'s thing to do the talking parts. Then everyone started doing it and I'm just sick of it. I'm actually scared for SHINee's Korean comeback now.
And the MVs .. I couldn't watch this one more than once because I've already seen it a million times before. The Matrix and that damn box .. ugh.
When you compare all the MVs that came out in 2009 to the 2011 ones it's easy to tell that SM isn't even trying anymore. I used to be addicted to the Gee/It's You/Ring Ding Dong/Chu MVs and I watched them nonstop. But now if you've seen one you've seen them all.

I'm only in the 6th track and I already know that The Boys is my least favorite song on the album. TRICK is flawless btw :heart

the song is not snsd at all and the rapping is gross and everything is mess omg teddy whatever spent a long time doing this song especially that most of the song is "GIRLS BRING THE BOYS NOW I WANNA VOMIT DANCE RIGHT NOW " . OMG sorry i feel like I'm anti SNSD it's my opinion afterall the album so far is so good , the boys it's not like the worst song i've ever heard but it's really bad the English sounds better , I really hope for a miracle the makes me love the song

I'm not comparing them to other artists. I think that's ridiculous. It prevents you from enjoying music for what it is.

I think The Boys is really catchy and a good dance song. They looked absolutely stunning in the music video.
Especially Sunny, who is just rocking that hairdo. I wish it wasn't a wig.

I have yet to hear the other songs from the album, but from reading all of your reactions, I'm very excited to hear them!

The Boys (song) give the exact feeling to me as Sixth Sense (song) did, those were not hook song but it's growing on me so bad right now! :heart

Girls' Generation and Brown Eyed Girls had exceeded typical market hook songs and so far it's a great move indeed :yes pulling something not everyone could do imo

"The Boys" (Korean Ver.) & (English Ver.) - this song had the potential to be an outstanding track but the girls' vocal arrangements ruined the song. The chorus is terrible and the chanting/rap section was unnecessary and discombobulated. The best part of the song is the intro and the bridge.

"Telepathy" and "TRICK" are good standout tracks in my humble opinion.

~Overall in regard to their 2011 releases, I preferred their Japanese debut album over their 3rd Korean comeback album. It's still a solid release nevertheless. :yes
