That's exactly what I was thinking, although I hope it doesn't happen.

Acchan isn't my favourite, but I'm pretty shocked since she IS the face of AKB48.

I wish her the best in her future endeavours...

...and I can't help wondering just how much AKB48 will change this year.

Mirrorcle Monster 26th March 2012 06:39 AM

I think we will see more graduations this year. Itano and Mariko almost for sure. Oshima Yuko and maybe Takamina on 2013. And the new three popular girls will be Mayuyu, Jurina and Yukirin

relmy 26th March 2012 11:51 AM

I'm not a huge fan of AKB48, but the announcement was pretty shocking. I'm not too fussed (I've never liked her much), but Aki-P is really covering his bases by adding Jurina and Mayuyu... when I've heard of them, they must be fairly popular lol I bet her last single will sell loads, I wonder what he'll do to make the next one sell? This is going to break them or make them even more popular by giving other girls a chance.

Itano leaving would make sense, Yuko can be centre now, and Mariko must never leave because I have a massive girl crush on her.

Kinda excited to see how this all pans out.

T___T Seriously, i thought she could be 3 or 4 more years in AKB48.
I hope she can still singing.

She will, she had already a successful debut single, and I believeve she will release more songs and see her in drama. But still it's gonna be weird seeing AKB without her.

Acchan might not be the prettiest, but she's a very good centre who mange to bring out other members without out shining them... I wonder who will be the next center.

It's Milky from NMB who got tempory transfer to team B.

But transferring Jurina sounds like a very dangerous move. Her health is already in bad shape, with her leg injuries and she had already collapse few times, being overwork, this poor 15 year old girl still need to go to school! how can her body take it?

relmy 26th March 2012 10:45 PM

^ I don't know where I read the other girl transfering then lol I don't even know who she is! Probably just seeing her mentioned as popular. ooops. Is she already in AKB?

And damn, 15?! Do they not have laws about working hours for the girls in the idol industry?

dreamland2.0 27th March 2012 12:22 AM

^Yes Mayuyu is already in AKB Team B xD And Under 17 members can't work later than a certain time (10 maybe?)

relmy 27th March 2012 12:35 AM

Haha, I'm just making up my own AKB news lol

If she can't work later than 10, why is she so tired? I'm guessing they start at something crazy like 5am though and work with no break ;__; and I imagine travelling doesn't count as work either.

Although idols tend to speak well of their agents/creators/whatever you call them, they always seem so lacking in a duty of care. It makes me so angry D:

Amrai-chan 27th March 2012 12:37 AM

^ Yeah I think it's 10pm to 5 am.

People are looking at the Tokyo Giants to see the date of the Tokyo Dome Concert. Some are saying late August or July. I'm not to worried about Jurina. Sayaka said she would watch over her. I trust the captain. I think they will just have her be in AKB for now. The same with Milky. And I'm sure Yukarin will watch over her.

As for Acchan she had apparently brought this up with Takamina. Maybe she was thinking about this last year. Still sad.

I don't think Yuko will graduate anytime soon. I think maybe before the earthquake they were considering it but now some are saying due to her comments in the second documentary it seems like she doesn't want to leave.

To me it seems many members realized they are a part of something bigger and could help bring smiles to peoples faces after the disaster. I think that if any of them were thinking about it the disaster changed that. Except for Acchan the burden must have become too much, you could see that she looked tired...

If you've seen Yukos reaction her reaction seems to have a mix of shock, surprise, sadness, pain and almost one of betrayal and I guess that's how I feel...

I don't think we can quite say what Aki-P is going to do there might be rotating centers for all we know next. Maybe Yuko will be center for a while then he will give someone a big push.

I don't think it can be any of the captains, unless they promote new ones in their place which means no to Takamina, Sayaka, Yukirin or Minarun (especially not because Team 4 is too new). Tomochin's popularity keeps dropping. I don't think it will be Mariko. I don't think it will be Haruna. Mayu would have to start changing her appeal.

Technically Mariko shouldn't be in this but I saw this and now ;_____________;

LacusClyne 27th March 2012 05:36 AM

For being a center, I think Yuko is too bright sometimes, and might over shine other girls... So I'm not too sure how it will turn out..

前田敦子『気持ち』

Quote:

Good morning everyone

I’m in Hong Kong right now

These days sure are going by fast

I’ve been thinking about a lot of things and my report to all of you is coming a bit late

I, Maeda Atsuko, will be graduating from AKB48

I announced it at Saitama Super Arena the day before yesterday

Even though I came to that conclusion, I was full of anxiety up until that very moment

At the Saitama Super Arena everyone was having fun, singing and dancing and all of the members were really shining

The fans in the audience had nothing but smiles on their faces

I really thought it would be great to continue as it is.

But, during the encore when we were singing our songs, I saw the guest seating full of penlights and I really felt happy.

So, I have to go out on my own now and I wanted to properly announce it to everyone.

And
Then I said to Takamina (Takahashi Minami) who was right next to me, that “I am going to announce it.”

With those few words, it was the beginning for me to start running (towards my dreams)

I have been given so many chances, that I need to be the one to take the first step

Because if I don’t those behind me won’t be able to continue after me

Hearing everyone support me after my announcement at Saitama Super Arena, well that was the warmest moment of my life

It made me realize that I was not making a wrong decision.

Of course I can also hear people saying, “don’t quit!”

And that made me feel really happy

The members have been shedding tears for me and have genuinely been concerned for me

I am so so happy that I am able to feel all of this love

The members will always, always be my friends, no matter what happens

So, I want to be able to give the members proper and reliable advice in the future

I still can’t sort the thoughts out in my head

Regardless
“AKB” is the best

Akimoto-san
Thank you so so much for warmly watching over me despite my selfishness, my extreme selfishness

You’ve looked out for me ever since I was 14 years old

If Akimoto-san wasn’t there, I wouldn’t be where I am today

Please let me continue to have conversations about various things with you in the future

Fans

I’ve been reading a ton of your comments

Thank you guys for giving me your support

Please continue to look after me in the future

I love my fans and everyone around me.

Maeda Atsuko returns to Japan, still no news on her graduation date

Quote:

On March 28th, AKB48 returned home from Hong Kong via Haneda Airport.

At around 8pm, Maeda Atsuko (20) was spotted in dark blue overalls flanked by fellow members Masuda Yuka (20) and Nakagawa Haruka (20), and it seems like they were protecting Maeda. The girls appeared surprised at the 30 or so members in the press that were at the airport to greet them.

Naturally, they asked Maeda about her graduation date and events, but Maeda clearly responded, “We havent’ decided anything at all regarding that yet.” The press also asked her who she would be supporting to become the next center for AKB48. Maeda rooted for all of her juniors, “I hope everyone does their best.”

The girls were in Hong Kong for the 40th anniversary event of Japan-China friendly relations “Genki na Nihon Tenjikai”. The staff reported that the girls had fun shopping just two hours before their flight home.

With Maeda’s early ‘graduation trip’ finished, the press asked her to give a few comments to her fans. She showed a refreshed face, “I’m back home! I want to work hard with AKB and everyone (before my graduation).”

Aw Acchan :(

but on the good side of things I heard the DC concerts went well. There are some good pictures up at New School Kaidan and other places. The second concert was streamed on Google+ and Youtube last night with a prerecorded hang out between some of the girls and Marty Friedman where he asked them questions. Watch the concert on Vimeo or Dailymotion.

Apparently Ono Erena is going to be releasing a single called Erepyon on April 17th which will be used in the Drama Legal High. She wrote the lyrics herself.

Polyrhythm 3rd April 2012 08:33 AM

....and it's better than all the other AKB solos so far.

bondingo 3rd April 2012 08:36 AM

Wow I've never given two craps about Erepyon, but it does sound like a really good song. Can't say it will be my favorite of the solos since Tomochin just blew everyone else out of the water, but I'm impressed!

yatsudamf 3rd April 2012 10:21 AM

Ooooh, I like it!!!
And darnit, I pre-ordered Tomochin's new single. What started out as my children's obsession has become mine!

adantatu2 4th April 2012 05:48 AM

Itano is doing good music. Clone is :heart
But my favourite song (by a solo) is Sore demo suki da yo, is really catchy :)

Opening and ending song of ‘Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou’ to be provided by Kis-My-Ft2 and Maeda Atsuko

On April 6th, it was announced that Kis-My-Ft2 and Maeda Atsuko from AKB48 will provide the opening and ending song for the upcoming drama ‘Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou‘. The opening theme song will be Kis-My-Ft2’s new single “Shake It Up” and Maeda Atsuko’s solo 2nd single “Migikata” will be the ending theme song. The release date of both singles is as yet undecided.

‘Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou’ is a story of the trials and tribulations when a boy’s high school that has a lot of delinquents and a prestige girl’s high school, where all students are from high-class families, combine into one school. Kis-My-Ft2’s Miyata Toshiya and AKB48 research student Mitsumune Kaoru were cast in the drama as fixed charaters. Uchi Hiroki and Kitahara Rie from AKB48 team B will also make appearances in the drama.

“Shake It Up” is a fun, danceable song. Miyata showed his delight being cast in the drama and commented “The song is very upbeat and makes me feel like dancing. I would like all the cast and staff to remember the dance, and same as “Bakaleya”, I want to do “Bakasawagi”(liven up with dancing and singing).”

Maeda Atsuko’s “Migikata” will be her second solo single. The ballad song is about ‘heart-wrenching girl feelings’. Maeda states “‘Migikata‘ is my favorite song. I am glad it has been chosen as the ending theme for the drama, which my senior members are starring.”

“Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou” will be aired on NTV from April 14th at Saturday 12:50AM

Thanks Karen. Atsuko Maeda will be releasing a new single :)
