Don't compare Namie Amuro to Meisa Kuroki. Ever. Namie was at the height of her popularity at the time of her son's conception and Meisa is not.

The whole point of me stating her career is over is because Meisa is marrying a "JOHNNY'S" artist for pete's sake. That alone will end her career and diminish what varying popularity she has. "Johnny's" crazed female fanbase will make sure her career never resurfaces to see the light of day again. Is it sad and petty? Yes. But that's how crazy obsessed Jin's followers are.

I adore Meisa and her music. She's one of those "fresh" artists I discovered after being bored with the J-music industry as a whole for some years now.

Kuu's music went downhill for me, Ayu's music never struck a chord with me, Namie takes too damn long to release an album, Hikki no longer exits, BENI is boring, Mika ain't what she used to be, miwa puts me to sleep, etc. Kuroki Meisa's music gave me so much life. :yesI still wish her the best.

Although I'm surprised that her grandmother was the person to break the news instead of Meisa (I personally think that Meisa should have been the one to reveal that she is pregnant, not her grandmother), this certainly confirms what was on many of our minds. This is a shotgun wedding due to pregnancy (Duh!).

For those saying she'll not come back... think twice. Meisa is not just a singer, but an actress. She has a very important award, which is equivalent to a grammy (if I'm not wrong) in Japan (Hashida Awards). She will come back after the baby, I'm pretty sure. :innocent

Her singing career is something that came on after that . I know she did some singing before for the Crow Zero movie/s but it was only til I found out about her releasing hellcat & boom , I've been a music fan of her ever since x)

Kuroki's activities being cancelled

Kuroki Meisa (23) is beginning to feel the first effects of being married to Akanishi Jin.

It was announced on the 12th that the planned March 4th special buyer event for Meisa’s album “UNLOCKED” has been suspended. Announced on her official homepage, reasons cited for the cancellation include being “due to physical condition, and considering various other circumstances”. Although her pregnancy was not announced officially, her agency stating “due to her physical condition” has led many to believe Kuroki is entering maternity leave.

In addition, her appearance on TBS’s music program ‘Kamisun!’ has also been canceled.

Kuroki recently married ex-KAT-TUN member Akanishi Jin (27), without letting their agencies know beforehand, leading to confusion for both their agencies.

Does anyone happen to know how "Hit the Road" has been performing on Chaku-Uta? I was looking through the rankings but can't seem to find it. I'm also surprised that the song hasn't leaked since it was released digitally on the 8th. I'm hoping we'll get a full album leak soon though since the 15th is only two days away.

BTW, a 43 second preview is available on the Sony Music website. It appears that this song includes a bit of a rapping part in it which I feel doesn't fit the song much. Unfortunately, I still don't like what I'm hearing from the preview but as always, I would like to hear it in full before making a full judgement.

Subaru's CM is not airing thaaaaat much, so it's not helping the performance in Chaku-Uta. Moreover, songs through Chaku-Uta are available only to cellphones, I guess! :P

I think it's great HMV Japan only charged me an extra 176 Yen in total cost for both the album + shipping fee (ie. 3,976 Yen I paid in total) since the CD + DVD is 3,800 Yen each :P
